A/N: I do not watch PBA kasi kaunting players lang ang kilala ko (but I'll watch na kapag part na si Thomas nun mehehehe). So yung oneshot na 'to, product lang talaga ng imagination and mixed programs on how do they run championships.

THOMAS
"AAAHHH! Thank you, Lord!!" I shouted at the middle of the court. It feels really really good to be champions again.
I hugged each one of my teammates and our coaches... but I should not lose focus.
"Tommy, pwede ka na ba ma-interview?" Bea, our csr on our last uaap year, asked me.
"Maya na ako, Bea. Pang-last, please?" I smiled and she nodded and gave me a hug.
"Congratulations, tommy! I knew you could do it!" I hugged her back and said thank you.
She walked away and I saw her go near Kib. Yes, after 8 years of graduating from DLSU, the Ginebra team became *accidentally* composed of Season 79's champion team. Through those 8 years, we piled up in this team and thank God, we created the same result.
"Ang sarap sa feeling bro!" Syempre, ang palagi kong kasama since DLSU days, Jeron Teng.
"Oo nga bro! Congrats to us!" And we gave each other a manly hug.
"Ready ka na ba sa next chapter?" Nang asar pa ang gago! Hahaha, ako na nga tong kabado e.
"Ready na! Nandito na ang sign na hiningi ko e." He nodded and tapped my shoulder.
Sabi ko kasi kay Lord, kapag nagchampion kami, magpopropose na ako sa kanya.
"Oh ano pa hinihintay natin? Game na!" Jeron insisted.
"Teka lang naman! Excited ka, mamaya na pagbalik niya dito."
"Asan ba?" Humaba naman ang leeg namin ni Jeron kakahanap.
"Ayun oh kila Kib!" Sabi ko.
"Aba't mas nagtagal pa siya kila Kib kaysa sayo."
"Eh sabi ko nga kasi mamaya na siya lumapit. Sabi ko pang-huli na lang ako. Para alam mo na, di ako dagain masyado." Pag-eexplain ko kay Jeron.
Tumawa naman sya ng malakas. "Hanggang ngayon talaga kinakabahan ka pa din sakanya noh? Kaya mo yan bro! Bigay mo lang samin signal. Kami na bahala."
"Thanks, Jeron!" Tumango lang siya at saka nilapitan si Mika.
Buti pa yung dalawang yun, 3 years nang kasal. They're expecting a baby Jeron na din. Kami kaya ni B, kelan?
I saw my teammates get interviewed one by one, at habang papalapit nang papalapit ang turn ko ay palakas din nang palakas ang kabog ng dibdib ko.
Nung turn ko na, nilapitan ako ni Jeanine since siya daw ang naatasan na maginterview sakin.
"So Thomas! Kamusta? Hahaha! Congratulations on winning a championship again! Anong feeling?" Jeanine started and handed me the mic.
"Thank you, Jeanine! Hahaha, sobrang saya! As in sobra sobra sobrang saya, yun na lang ang nararamdaman ko sa ngayon."
"Sa bagay, you were the one who scored the winning 3 for Ginebra. Ano naman ang nasa isip mo nung time na yun?"
"Well, kasi okay. Ganto yun, I asked the Lord for a sign para sa isang bagay na I am willing to do for a very long time na. And sabi ko kay Lord, kapag nagchampion kami tonight, I will do it na. So ayun, nagchampion. Sooner or later, I'm gonna do that life changing thing na."
"Omg! Ano naman kaya yan? Malalaman ba namin yan? Wag naman sana pag iwan ng basketball career mo ha!"
"Ay nako, hindi! But yes, malalaman niyo din naman."
"O-kay! Hihintayin namin yan ha? I'm now giving you the chance to thank everyone you would like to thank."
Kinuha ko ulit ang microphone sa kanya and started speaking, "I wanna thank all the fans, especially the solid ones since day 1!"
Naghiyawan naman lahat sa arena. "Thank you po sa undying support! To my parents, my coaches, my teammates who's been very patient since the start of the tournament, thank you din po!"
Nakita ko naman ang teammates ko na sabay sabay nagsalute gaya nang ginagawa namin simula pa kanina.
"And to the girl who's been with me for 8 years already, come here baby."
Lalong lumakas ang sigawan sa arena nang ihatid ni Jeron sakin ang babaeng matagal ko nang minamahal.
She hugged me immediately and whispered in my ear, "Congratulations baby. You always make me proud! I love you." She kissed my cheeks and I smiled.
Nung kumalas siya sa yakap, inabot sakin Jollo ang isang bouquet ng mga bulaklak at ibinigay to sa kanya.
"Bakit ka may pa bouquet? Hindi naman ako ang nagchampion? At bakit ako may lapel? Anong pakana to Jeron?!"
Nagtawanan naman lahat sa arena since lahat kami ay naririnig siya dahil nga sa lapel niya.
"Shhh, wag ka madaldal bae." I kissed her lips to shut her up.
"Okay, the first time you called me bae sobrang nakornihan talaga ako. Sorry na! Hahaha! But you told me na you wanted to call me something na malapit sa pangalan mo... or rather, the name that I've been calling you since you became mine. 8 years of being with you has been a bliss and I'm very sure that I won't lose this love for another 8 years, and another and another and another.." I said.
"Thom, what are you doing?" She's now looking at me intently, confused, and dumbfounded.
Lumuhod ako sa harapan niya, down in one knee and held her two hands..
"Bae.."
I coughed a little, hindi ko na kinakaya talaga yung kaba ko.
"I don't want to lose this love and I don't ever wanna lose you.."
I felt her hand tighten its grip on mine.
"Victonara Salas Galang, will you give me the honor of being your lifetime partner?"
After I said the last sentence, her tears started falling from both eyes. I opened the little box and showed the ring to her.
"Yes. Yes. I will, I do. Ay ano ba yan!" I put the ring on her finger and hugged her after.
The crowd erupted again and they cheered.
"Nakakainis ka! Kaya pala sabi mo sa condo kanina wag kitang lalapitan! Bastos! I love you so much babe." Naiinis nanaman siya dahil naisahan ko siya.
"Kinikilig ka lang e. I love you bae." I teased her and she gave me a long, passionate kiss.
Napatigil lang kami sa halik when Mika's voice erupted from the speakers.
"Daks! Di pa kasal at mas lalong di pa honeymoon! Awat na!"
Everyone laughed and we took pictures of that one winning moment.
The championship? Semi.
But her I do is everything.
