THOMAS
It's game day today against Ateneo! Kahit natalo namin sila noong first round ay inaabangan pa din ng fans ang second round so I'm sure as hell that the whole team will be beastin.
"Bangon na Thomas! Hindi ka na naman lalaki kahit matulog ka ng matagal." Narinig kong sinabi ni Jollo at saka sila nag-apir ni Jeron.
"Ang yayabang. Sana di ko na lang kayo naging roommate." I joked. Tinawanan lang ako nung dalawa.
"Sorry, paps! Wag ka na tampo!" Sabi ni Jeron na parang nag-so-sorry sa jowa niyang handa na siyang iwanan.
"Nag-text nga pala si Joric sa'kin, pumunta ka daw office ng Virtual Playground mamaya after game." Banggit ni Jollo sa akin at saka ipinakita pa ang text ni Joric.
"After game talaga? Di na ako kasama sa team dinner?" Tanong ko.
"Hindi na siguro. Sino ka ba?" Sagot ni Jeron kaya natuloy na ang pabirong bugbugan naming dalawa.

Badtrip. We lost to Ateneo on the second round. It is also the first loss of the team this season. The whole team didn't like the loss because who likes losing, diba?
"Saan niyo gusto mag team dinner?" Tanong ni Coach Aldin, but the whole team is still quiet.
"Di po ako makakasabay, coach. Pinapatawag po ako sa VP." Pagsagot ko sa kanya. Tinanguan niya na lang ako at saka ako nagpunta ng sasakyan ko.
Nainis din naman ako sa pagkatalo namin kaya naisipan kong magpatugtog na lang ng malakas sa sasakyan ko. Natawa naman ako nang tumugtog ang Endlessly ng The Cab. May napanood kasi ako dati na video namin ni Ara sa YouTube at ayun ang kanta.
Don't get me wrong. Walang something sa amin ni Ara. I am cool with our ship, but it seems like she's not cool with it. Hinahayaan ko na lang, besides, I believe that these fans are a part of where I am today.
Napatigil ang pag-iisip ko nang makatapos na ako mag-park malapit sa main office ng VP.
"Thank God, nandito ka na." Reaksyon ni Joric nang makita akong pumasok ng main entrance. "Tara sa meeting table."
Agad niya naman akong hinila papunta dun na parang nagmamadali pa rin siya. "Is it urgent?" Tanong ko.
"Yes!" Sagot ni Joric at saka ako ipinagbukas ng pinto.
"What the.. I'm out." Kaagad na sabi ni Ara Galang na tumayo from the chair sa meeting table.
"Ara, Ara. Please, hear me out first." Joric said at saka pinaupong muli si Ara.
Ako naman 'tong gulat sa nangyayari. Bakit nandito si Ara?
"Joric, November 6 ngayon. Monthsary pa naman namin ni Bang tapos sabi ko pass muna ako sa date namin kasi may sobra-sobrang halagang meeting tapos si Thomas pala? Ano yon!" She blabbered.
"Ara, kumalma ka. Wala naman akong sinabi na si Thomas ang pag-uusapan."
"Kahit na! Ayoko ng project with him. Joric, I'm sorry, but not with him." Ara said firmly.
"Why don't you listen to what he's gonna say?" I said. Both of them looked at me. Umupo na ako at ganun din naman si Ara at Joric.
Kaming tatlo lang ang nasa meeting table kaya naman tahimik. May kinuha si Joric na folder at dun siya may iniabot sa akin. "Maki-share ka na lang kay Thomas, Ara. I'm sure na mas maigi kung babasahin niyo ng sabay yan."
Buti naman at hindi na kumontra itong si Ara at tumabi na din naman sa akin. I looked at the back of the envelope and saw a MAWF-P on the back.
I looked at Ara and she just shrugged. Ang sungit talaga. To be honest, I have no idea on why does she act that way.
I opened the folder and I pulled the first bond paper sa ibabaw.

Sir Joric,
Good day!
I am sorry for this urgent letter but this can't wait anymore. I am one of the representatives of Make a Wish foundation in the Philippines.
As one of the fairy godmothers, it is our responsibility to grant every last wish of people with cancer so they can live their last moments happily.
The urgency of this letter came to a point that I can't even formulate a proper letter anymore.. so here goes.
Francesca Chrisel Garcia is one of our beneficiaries in this foundation. She has cancer. I cannot spill any details here as her parents want full confidentiality on the matter. However, she's been given 3 more months to live. As her fairy godmother, I am in full responsibility of her last wish. I am really, really hoping that you can grant this one since both of them are your talents.
She wants to see Thomas and Ara together. Even if it is impossible, she says. But she told me to make it real. I am asking you guys a huge favor and don't worry about the payments, her parents got it.
This is a sad reality for everyone in her family, but at least let her get or see what she wants before she goes to the Light.
Again, I'm sorry for the urgency and the commotion that this letter can make. But please bear with me. Thank you so much.

"Woah." Narinig kong sabi ni Ara.
"Are you in?" Tanong ko sa kanya.
"Are you?" I heard Ara whisper.
"Yes." I firmly said. "Ikaw ba?" Tanong ko.
"Ayoko e.." Ara said.
"Pero, Ara.." Nagsalita si Joric at saka tiningnan si Ara.
"But if I have the power to make her happy, bakit hindi? Pwede naman kaming magpanggap ni Thomas." Pagtatapos niya.
