THOMAS
I quickly went to Ara after Joric dismissed the meeting.
I held her arm as she was walking too fast, "Are you sure about this? We don't really have to---"
"Okay nga lang, Thomas. May sakit yung bata. If I was the one with cancer, I'd hope for the impossible too. Ano ba kinakatakot mo? Imposible naman talaga tayong dalawa ah." She said with finality.
"I know. Ang akin lang, wouldn't it be hard for you and Bang?" Tanong ko sa kanya. She's still an old friend after all the years that we weren't talking due to issues.
"You'll help me. I'll set all of our issues aside for the kid. Si Bang lang ba ang problema natin?" She asked me. Siguro nag-iintay din kung may problema sa side ko.
"Si Bea pa." I softly said.
"Ah.. yung mukang piranha." Ara whispered.
"Ano kamo?"
"Wala! Yung bagong CSR kako ng DLSU. Oh, nililigawan mo?" She smirked and I smiled.
"Oo, pero secret lang." I answered and she just shook her head.
"Bakit secret lang? Saka nililigawan mo pa lang naman, you can hold her yes off for a couple of months."
"Alam ko, but syempre.. it wouldn't be a good image kung yung nanliligaw sa'yo ay nakikipagkita sa ka-loveteam niya."
"How would I know? Di naman ako nagpaligaw pa. Pero sige, i-sikreto na lang natin. Kita na lang tayo ulit kapag magpapakilala na dun sa bata." Ara held her hand out so I took it to shake.
"Thank you, Ara. See you again, soon."

ARA
On the third week of November, I received a text message from Joric saying that we can finally meet the kid in the afternoon.
"Wag mo na akong hintayin mag-dinner, baby. I'll be home late." Banggit ko kay Bang na busy mag-phone sa tabi ko.
"Huh? Bakit?" She stopped using her phone and looked at me.
"I have something to do. It's a Virtual Playground thing. Don't worry."
"Sure? No Thomas Torres involved?" She asked.
I swear it's good that I always have a poker face on. How did she even thought of that?
"Wala! Ano ba 'to? ThomAra shipper ka din ba at naisip mo kaagad na magkasama kami?" I answered and she just shook her head.
"Okay, sorry. Ingat and update me ha."
I just nodded.
To be honest, my feelings for Bang has been plain for a while. It came to the point wherein if something happens, I'm fine with it. If nothing happens, I'm still fine with it. I guess I love her but I'm tired too.
"Maliligo na ako. I love you." I stood up and kissed her forehead and went to the CR.
As soon as I entered the CR, my phone rang.
