IF by some off chance you like me back, and you confess it, our dynamic will be ruined. We can't have feelings for each other.
IF we did, let's just say hypothetically, we couldn't go back to being friends. Those feelings are a whole different side of us that we can't take back once they're revealed.
IF we decided to try and stay friends, which I know you would push for, then it'd get too awkward. The line between friendship and intimacy would get smudged.
SO I will smother my feelings and try to smile less around you and think about you less, all the while falling for your irrefutable charm evermore.
THE decision is really based on two outcomes: 1/ I lose you as a friend and forever or 2/ I stay close to you but always on the other side of a glass wall.
PERHAPS I could finally find closure and move on if I was rejected by you and realize how we can't work if you don't like me. But then I'd lose you. You could never ignore my feelings for you forever and I couldn't stop hurting.
SO I'm going to wait it out like one waits out a storm.
