To all my friends,
This is a plea to let you know,
Just how much your words,
Can affect the way I grow.
To you it's just a joke,
But although you talk in jest,
You say it far too often,
Please give it a rest.
Both you and I know,
You don't mean what you say,
But it gets into my head,
And it's there to stay.
She says "No one likes you",
He says "You're a piece of shit",
These are just a few of the things,
Said to me quite a bit.
So please think before you speak,
And refrain from making fun of me,
Because however strong you may think I am,
I am weak. This is my plea.
