I sat on the kitchen floor with Dylan beside me for what seemed like hours. I truly feel helpless and worthless after what happen today. I rested my head on Dylan's shoulder as he sat beside me without saying a single word. The silence is slowly killing me because all I can do is think about what happen earlier today.

"Dylan please talk to me about anything that way I can stop thinking about what happen today." I asked softly

"Okay, Harley can you please tell me why didn't you tell me about your life before Lucas adopted you." He asked softly

"I didn't tell you about my horrible life as a child/ teenager in the system because it was like living hell on earth and no child or teenager should have to go through the things I went through. I don't care how much I dislike a person I will never wish the horrible things that happened to me on anyone. I'm truly thankful and grateful for Lucas because he literally saved me" I mumbled

"But I couldn't protect you from them today and I'm deeply and truly sorry Harley." Lucas said slightly scaring me

"Dad please stop okay its not your fault, what happened today is what it is." I said reassuring him

"No Harley, I'm your father and supposed to protect you from harms way and I didn't do that today." He said sitting on the other side of me and Dylan

"Nobody knew what happened today was going to happen so all we can do is hope that Diana and Mark go to jail." I said

"Well that's taken care of Harley, for now on I'm working from home that way I can keep an eye on you." Lucas said in serious tone

"Dad no, the law firm is your life please don't stop doing what you love just because I was attacked by two very messed up individuals." I said in a serious tone

"Okay Harley, but I have to handle a few things so your uncle Danny is coming over." Lucas said as he got up from off the kitchen floor.

Dylan and I sat in the living room watching television with uncle Danny. I snuggled up against Dylan. With everything that happened today I'm just glad Dylan showed up when he did.

" Thank you Dylan." I mumbled causing both Dylan and uncle Danny to look at me

"Harley why are you thanking me?" Dylan asked raising an eye brow

" For showing up when you did and calling my dad." I said placing a tiny kiss upon his lips

"Aye I'm still sitting here." Uncle Danny said making a face

"Sorry I mumble." Resting my head on Dylan's shoulder

"You know we never finished that thing we started the other day." Dylan whispered in my ear

I covered my face with my hand so that Dylan couldn't see me blushing like a little school girl.

"I know I promise we will finish but not while my uncle is here.' I whispered back looking at uncle Danny

"Hey are y'all hungry." Uncle Danny asked looking over at us

We both nodded are heads at him before turning our attention back to each other.

"Dylan after what happened today I wouldn't hate you if decided to not mess with me anymore." I mumbled pressing my lips on his neck

I looked at Harley as if she was Crazy why in the hell would I ever leave her side after what happened today. I looked into her beautiful brown eyes and just looked at her while I gathered my thoughts together

"Harley there is a list of reasons why I wouldn't leave your side and not just because what happened today but because I'm in love with you Harley Bleu." I said shocking Harley and myself

"Your in love with me." She mumbled

"Yes I am and I'm not ashamed to admit it." I said proudly before cupping her face and kissing her

Within the short few months I have known Harley we have built a strong bond with each other and it feels like i've known her my whole life. I cant believe she thought I would leave her because of what happened today if anything what happened today only makes me what to be around her forever.

"I can't believe you thought I would leave you because of what happened today. What happened today only makes me what to be with you forever so I can protect you from people like those two sick bastards." I said holding her hand

"Thank you Dylan." She said softly and barely above a whisper
