"Morning Ace! Coffee?" Rory couldn't help but smile when she saw Logan grinning and offering her a hot cup of coffee.

"When do I ever say no to coffee?"

Logan handed Rory her mug, "So, what are your plans this weekend?"

"I am going back to Star's Hollow. Hep Alien- you remember Lane's band?"

"With her husband and those other guys."

"Right, well they're having a show in Hartford tomorrow night."

The fact that Lane was still in her band reminded Logan that not everything had changed in the last two years. Even though he and Rory had lived completely separate lives for two years, it constantly felt as if their bond had not changed.

Rory's blue eyes seemed to shine as she spoke, "and what are you doing this weekend?"

"I'm flying to California for a wedding and a couple of meetings."

She scrunched up her face, "Yuck."

"Ace! What's your problem with California?"

Rory shoved a forkful of pancakes into her mouth. "I went to California a couple of times while I was following Obama. It was very beautiful and all but would it kill them to put some meat or dairy in their food?"

Logan laughed, thinking back to his own time spent as a vegan. "Not everyone is uber healthy. This is the same place that has In N Out."

"Ah. Right." Rory closed her eyes and nodded.

"You okay there?"

She smiled, "Shush. I'm having a flashback to the first time I tried one of those heavenly burgers."

"Will my freshly made bacon aid that fantasy?" Logan asked as he distributed bacon onto Rory's plate.

"You are a good man."

As she watched Logan make breakfast in the kitchen, she couldn't help but imagine having more mornings like this. It felt as if nothing could go wrong. Everything was light and happy inside. She never quite understood how her friends were all settling down and getting married, but this simple breakfast with Logan made her realize what she was missing. If being married meant feeling this in sync with someone everyday from the moment she woke up, marriage must be worth it. Rory smiled at this thought.

"Ace, what's that smile for? My bacon can't be that good"

"Marriage..." she blushed at the realization of what had just come out of her mouth. "I mean- I just remembered, that you don't know about the wedding I attended in August."

Logan raised his eyebrows

"Yeah! So Paris and Doyle..."

"No way." Logan chuckled with disbelief.

Rory grinned, "It's true! They, they had a summer wedding at a boat dock. There was a rabbi and a minister... and Doyle's family is very very short."

"Wow."

Logan and Rory continued to laugh throughout breakfast.

"So I'll see you sometime next week?" Logan inquired as he put on his coat.

"Sounds like a plan."

"Except its not a plan, its a plan to make a plan" he replied.

Rory looked up apologetically, "I will let you know as soon as I have a better idea of my schedule for next week. You're in the business, you know how hard it is to plan around news!"

He put his hand on Rory's shoulder, "I'm kidding Ace, no need to defend yourself."

Rory bit her lip and sighed, "Good."

Kiss her, damn it. Logan couldn't resist as he stared at Rory's lips.

Suddenly, before he could act on his desires, Rory stood on her toes and kissed him. Logan had to stop himself from smiling so that he could kiss her back.
