A mysterious girl, a town called Storybrooke, an uncanny friendship, a lost boy bent on power, and a hidden evil bubbling under the surface.
Lily lived for as long as she could remember in a town called Storybrooke. Strangely enough, she has no memo...
I've gotta run! I've gotta hide! He's coming for me! He's coming for me!
Lily ran as fast as she could into Mary Margaret's apartment and locked the door behind her.
"Mary Margaret! Mary Margaret help me!" Lily screamed. She ran about the apartment and barricaded any window, door, or other entrance she could. She ran into her room, closed the door and hid under the bed. Suddenly she heard a gust of wind and footsteps.
Come out come out to play Lily! I know where you are, you broke our deal.
Lily held her breath and tried to push any thoughts out of her head.
Lily? I think this cat and mouse game is rather childish you know. Why don't you just come out of where you are hiding and act like a responsible adult.
He's coming. He's coming for me!
Oh there you are, I thought you were brain dead for a few moment. Now its time to pay your debt.
Lily felt her body go numb, she was focusing so hard on no thoughts that she forgot how to breath. Black spots dotted her vision and she had to take a breath. A loud gasp erupted from her mouth. Lily heard the footsteps walk toward the bed. Suddenly a hand dug itself under the bed and grabbed Lily's hair. Lily was pulled out kicking and screaming and she soon was met by the face of horror itself, her best friend with murderous eyes.
Pan released her hair and threw her on the ground. "Now, that wasn't so hard was it?"
Lily's eyes were red rimmed and full of fear. He had tried to kill her the first time violently and now she had disobeyed his orders. "PLEASE SPARE HENRY! I BEG YOU! TAKE ME FIRST!" She screamed.
"Oh come now, you thought that he would be of use to me? No, you are the one I wanted to utilize. I could care less about the heart of the truest believer, I already have that, I wanted the heart of the story itself."
"What do you mean?" Lily shook in horror
"Do you remember where you came from?" Pan snarled. Lily didn't reply.
"I asked you, DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM?"
"No, no I don't please!" Lily started to cry. Tears poured down her cheeks.
"Do you know why you are here? Why would a petulant retch appear here in the middle of Storybrooke, unnoticed for 28 years? How could anyone possibly not notice a girl with lightning white hair and gold eyes who walked through town without anyone noticing? Do you know how?"
"How?" Lily whispered, still sobbing
"You are one of many, but there is only ever one at a given point in time. One has just but perished, and now you are ready to take its place. The end of the story is coming Lily, and you are the cause of it." Pan paused with a lust for power in his eyes. "Felix, tie her up!" Felix walked over with the remnants of a shredded straight jacket on his chest. In his hands was a large rope.
"Wait, what are you going to do to me?" Lily cried
"History is written by the victors, and if the author is a villain, the story is bound to go their way."
Felix tied the great rope around Lily's wrists and when he was done, the fake Henry transported them to the middle of the woods, next to a wishing well. Lily was sat down in a chair and Pan stood by the well. He ripped out Felix's heart in one movement.
"Felix its now time for your glory." Pan clutched Felix's heart snugly.
"Pan, what are you doing?" Felix pleaded
"Something I should have done a long time ago, dear friend." The fake Henry crushed Felix's black heart and placed the remaining dust into a small red pot. Lily watched Felix drop to the ground and she trembled in fear.
"Now Lily, don't move, or this will hurt a lot more than you think."
"No, please!" But before Lily could plead any further, Pan ripped Lily's heart from her chest. Her heart was a brilliant gold and it shone like starlight in the dim forest.
"Do you see this Lily? This is the heart of a story. To turn a story dark all you have to do is add a bit of hatred and suffering. For example," Pan dropped the gilded heart into the pot with Felix's dark heart ashes. The golden heart started to turn from gold to a deep purple obsidian. Lily screamed and jolted in her chair. Back and forth she rocked in the intense pain she felt.
"PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! HENRY HELP ME! PLEASE!" Lily screamed. Pan walked toward her with the obsidian heart in his hand and shoved it back into her chest. Lily started to wail and cry even more and suddenly the whole town of Storybrooke went dark. The sun was blocked out, the artificial lights blew out, and the fires in people's homes were immediately extinguished. All was completely dark and eerily silent, not a bird chirp nor the sound of footsteps could be heard. All at once a bright, blinding light consumed all of Storybrooke. Out of the light stepped a dark and shadowy figure. The sun returned but all was still quiet, it was if the town itself trembled in her wake.
The dark figure stood next to the wishing well and was dressed all in black. Her hair had turned from lightning white to ebony black. The golden eyes that she once had were now deep obsidian and violet. She stood with a scowl on her face in her gown made of shadows.
"Welcome, O darkness. I am your summoner. Make me the new leader of your dark kingdom." Pan bowed toward her with an evil grin.
"Of course, you shall be king of this new story since you have summoned me, I thank you for that. The time is approaching to usurp my throne and we must prepare." Lily stood there in her new form. The darkness had finally made its arrival in Storybrooke.
