CHAPTER SIX: Dragon

The red had stopped flowing from the jagged wound, but pain lingered under the scales. The dragon's wings flapped as its gaze was angled downwards, humans and their animals but moving dots on the landscapes. Hunger intertwined with the tingles of pain and the dragon drifted down, briefly surveying the area for shiny armor and swords.

There were none.

The dragons bared its teeth in delight. There would be nothing to stop it from having a feast and satisfying its overwhelming hunger.

The dragon dived.
