There was a time when the Sanctuary was proud and peace reigned.

When war was a memory - not distant, for it tends to cling to the corners of your mind with no intention of letting go, but certainly not fresh.

All things must come to an end.

The Dead Men fell, the Sanctuary crumbled and darkness flowed. Soft like moving water, undiluted fear came in the form of a girl. A small goddess to rule over the fractured Earth.

The girl by the name of Darquesse smiled, curled power into her fists and wrapped magic around her fingertips.
