I woke up with broken legs. I was just kidding, but my sister jumped on my legs. Ouch.

It was too early, 6:30 AM, and my sister, Tianna Tilly Li woke me up by trying to break my legs in half.

"Happy birthday, Lianna!" She cheered, jumping up and down on my bed. And stepping on my legs.

"Ugh." I groaned. "Can you stop?"

Tianna paid me no attention.

I rolled over so that she missed the next step on me and wrapped my pillow around my head.

"Come on! You have to get ready for your twelfth birthday party!" Tianna screamed, pouncing on top of me yet again.

"I will if you just stop trying to kill me!" I yelled, twisting my body and flinging her off. She landed on all fours on the ground and jumped back to her feet, her black hair bouncing. Her bright dark eyes shining with excitement.

"Come on, come on, come on!" Tianna chirped, unfazed.

"Okay, okay, okay!" I grumbled. "I'm coming!"

Normally I would've went back to sleep. But today was an exception, it was my birthday. And it's Saturday, my favorite day of the week. Otherwise I would go to sleep for another hour.

I quickly got up and made my bed. When I was tucking the corners down, my wardrobe manager, Fiona, came in.

"Good morning, Your Highness." Fiona said, curtsying.

"Good morning Fiona." I replied.

We went inside my walk-in closet, an outfit already laid out was on my table. A black, shimmering, spaghetti strapped dress, and a pair of two inched black pumps. Black is my favorite color, blood red is my second favorite. Regular red is too bright.

As I got dressed, my makeup artists bustled through the door, apologizing for their tardiness and curtsying.

I waved away their apologies and let them do their work.

I sat there impatiently while my makeup artists turn my face into a clown. Okay, I was exaggerating, but still! They were putting so much makeup on me! I do not like makeup or dresses or high heels. Being a princess certainly has its advantages, but one bad thing about it is that you have to dress up for every occasion. I'm a tomboy, not a girly girl. But it was necessary for today.

Finally, when they're done, I looked at myself in the full length mirror. My black hair was piled up on my head, with my blood red highlights weaving in and out. It shimmered like moonlight on water. My dress flowed down my body, spilling off like a waterfall, it too, glittered. You could barely see my pumps, but it added two inches to my height, so now I'm at least five feet and nine inches tall.

Then I focused on my face. My black eyes were surrounded by glittering black eye shadow. My eyelashes were longer than usual, thanks to mascara. My full lips shone with lip gloss, my cheeks glowed with a rosy blush. Thankfully, it doesn't look so artificial, and more natural, since I like things natural.

My wrists were decorated with bracelets and good luck charms. Expensive necklaces encircled my neck. I just needed one more thing...

I picked up my black glasses and carefully put them on my face so I wouldn't smudge the makeup. I didn't really needed my glasses, but I like them. It makes me look less like a princess and more of an ordinary girl.

"Your Highness, maybe you shouldn't wear your glasses..." Maria, the head makeup artist, spoke up.

I merely shrugged. "I can and I will."
