Chapter 29

*Dani's P.O.V.*

You know what the best thing in the world is? Waking up in Harry Styles' arms. Well, that is if you're as in love with him as I am. Why is it so wonderful you ask? Because, I woke up with his steady heartbeat in my ear, the wonderful scent he always carried surrounding me. His arms were draped over me lazily and I had my arms wound around his torso. I looked up at him groggily, smiling to myself. He was so beautiful. His long, black eyelashes were fanned over his pink cheekbones, the tips of his brown curls gently brushing his eyelids. His soft pink lips were parted slightly, practically begging to be kissed. His chest was rising and falling slowly, and he just looked so at peace. I placed my lips lightly on his smooth cheek and kept them there. It wasn't exactly a kiss, more of an affectionate touch. It was the perfect moment. Until Derek came along and ruined it.

"Rise and shine, lovebirds!" he projected, strutting into the room. I glared at him, but it was too late anyway. Harry was already awake. Not that that made him any less adorable. Especially when he opened his eyes just a sliver and the most amazing shade of green ever seen peeked through slightly. He smiled at me sleepily and I returned it.

"Good morning, love," he said, his morning voice murdering my ovaries. It must have shown, because he chuckled a bit. He kissed my reddening cheeks and propped himself up so that I was lying in his lap.

"Good morning," I replied with a smile. I pecked him quickly on the nose. Then I realized: Derek hadn't told me about his date yet! I rolled myself off of Harry and landed on the floor. He looked concerned and a bit confused, but I popped up, assuring him I was fine. "Derek!" I called.
"What?" his voice came from the kitchen.

"Come here, right now!" I ordered. Harry sat up and fluffed his hair as Derek entered. They both looked very confused. A huge grin appeared on my face. "How was your date?" I questioned excitedly. He just grinned and shook his head.
"Good," he answered, turning and walking back into the kitchen. I frowned at hid lack of details.
"I'm going to head home and get changed and such, love," Harry informed me, standing up and whispering in my ear. His breath on my skin sent chills down my spine. "Feel free to come over whenever you're ready." His lips met mine gently, leaving me craving more as he turned and left, saying goodbye to Derek. I stood there smiling for a few moments before going to interrogate Derek.

"So, how'd it go?" I asked teasingly, leaning on the counter. He sighed and looked at me.
"You know that guy I kind of had a thing with at camp like four years ago?" he asked. I nodded, not understanding how that bastard connected to his date. "Well, that's who Zayn set me up with." My jaw dropped. Talk about a coincidence. "He said he only said that because he thought we would never see each other again so he didn't want to hurt me or something... I'm not really sure. But we talked about it over pizza, got caught up and all, and long story short we're... Well we're going out now." He smiled to himself as he poured milk over his cereal and I still tried to comprehend what he had just told me. I knew how much that kid had hurt him, so it was just weird to think that they were going out. But he seemed happy, and anyone who's friends with Zayn must be a good person, so I decided to just be happy for them.
"Well that's cute!" I replied. "I'm excited to meet him," I said honestly. I really did want to meet this guy.

"You'll meet him today," he said, smiling. "I told Zayn last night, and he's coming over to their house today." His smile slowly faded and it looked like stress was slowly creeping up and engulfing him. "Which means I'm coming out today..." Oh. Yeah, I suppose that would be pretty stressful. I put my hand on his shoulder supportively.

"Don't worry, they'll all love you anyway. I don't think any of them would mind," I assured him. And it was the truth. I couldn't see any of the boys having a problem with his sexual preference. And I knew he didn't have to worry about Haley, she adores gay guys. Most girls do, so Michelle and Sydney would probably be fine with it as well. He sighed and smiled at me.
"Thanks," he replied simply, shoving his breakfast into his mouth.
"No problem," I smiled. "I'm going to go get ready, then we'll go?" He nodded. "Great! I'll be down in about an hour," I informed him, skipping up the stairs.
