Through The Never-ending River

12 2 1

Coloured by the skies,
Carried by the winds;
Amidst the mighty river I lie
Wondering if, I had fins.
I would go to its depth,
I'd explore some treasures;
Cover my contemptible debts,
Then jump towards the sky azure
Exposed to a sun kiss.
Amidst the river's chest
With a current unleashed,
I’ll be an honorable guest
And I’ll keep calm,
And in this equanimity, I'll flow,
Call a rest for my worn-out palms
And to wherever it carries me, I’ll go.

I flow, I flow under the bridges;
Some concretes and stones,
Some of strong rusty edges
And sometimes weeds, all alone.
At one side flaring city lights,
The fire was blazing on the other,
A smoke rising up to the skies
And I've been a night lover.
So down this river
I choose to row.
Why a side to prefer?
This cradle is devoid of woe.

In the gleaming darkness
(Which is called solitude),
We make our own mess
And seek for fortitude.
I  wipe away the puerile rile,
Consuming the silence around
And some thoughts of the wild,
Where my existence  is unfound.

The cold waters,
It makes a splattering sound
Like a lullaby of nature
Unheard, while in the ground.
So down the river,
I choose to oar.
Why a side to prefer,
If the cradle is devoid of war?
