Chapter 6

•Katelyn•

I stormed away, but I didn't get very far before Enoch grabbed my arm and stopped me.

"Let go Eno-" he put his lips against mine. I didn't pull away, I kissed him back. Unlike his and Olive's kiss, this one was caring. His strong arms were wrapped around me pulling me out closer. 'What am I doing? I can't believe I'm kissing him after what he did.'

I pulled away and headed back for the house.

"Katelyn please just listen to me." I tried to pull away but he was too strong. I glared at him.

"Fine." I snapped at him.

"I didn't want to kiss Olive, she made me."

"What do you mean she made you, you're a lot stronger than her couldn't you just pull her off you?"

"Well, I didn't want to hurt her and get into trouble. She just stopped me in the hall, I told her to move but she said 'I will in a moment we just have to wait for her' I was going to ask what she meant when you walked around the corner and she kissed me. So you'd be mad at me and we'd break up."

I stood there for a moment, not really believing his story. I put my hands to the sides of his head and closed my eyes, concentrating.

"What are you doing?" I let go and opened my eyes, I big smile forming on my face.

"Just wanted to make sure you weren't lying."
I pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek.
"I'm sorry for getting mad, I should have known you wouldn't kiss her."

"It's fine, and just so you know, Emma is probably the coolest friend I've ever known. After she saw you running away she came up to me and started yelling at me like crazy. She really cares about you, and if I ever get between your friendship, just tell me okay?"

"Okay."

We went back inside holding hands. Olive came down the stairs when she saw us her eyes began to fill with tears, and she ran back up them. We headed for the dining room, I expected him to let go, he didn't.

We chatted using my telepathy.

'What do you want to do after dinner, sweetheart?' Enoch thought.

'Lets go to the library, I want you to read me a story.' I smiled at him and he chuckled.

'Sounds like a plan.'

After we were done we walked to the library and I took a seat on a couch. Enoch came around with a small book, he took a seat next to me and put one of his arms around me as he read. Before I knew it I was fast asleep.

•Enoch•

She fell asleep, her head on my shoulder. I smiled at how cute she was. I sat the book down and slowly stood up. I put my arms around Katelyn and took her to her room. Carefully i sat her down on her bed, planting a small kiss on her forehead. I left going to my room, which gladly was a couple doors down I was just so tired.

I laid down in my bed and slept for what felt like seconds but was really hours to someone screaming. I shot up and ran out into the hall, it was two o'clock in the morning everyone might be in deep sleep right now. I heard someone yelling pretty quietly, it was Katelyn.

I ran into her room, she was towing and turning in her bed, talking to her self and sweating.

"Please no no no! Don't hurt him please I'll do anything anything! Please...."

"Katelyn?" I sat next to her and shook her slightly, she must be having dreams about Lucas, "Katelyn wake up. Wake up! It's just a dream Katelyn get up."

"Please, mercy. Please.... anything... I'll do anything. Just don't hurt Enoch..."

I froze, she was having a nightmare about me.
I grabbed her hand and used my other to shake her. She began to cry.

"No! No! No!" She sat up screaming. I pulled her into a hug, she didn't hug back for a moment,  probably didn't know it was me. She dug her face into my chest sobbing. "The-they... they killed y-you...."

"Hey hey it's ok, I'm here there's nothing to be afraid. I'm safe, and so are you."

She pulled away smiling. I leaned in kissing her, slow and passionately. I put my hands around her waist as hers went into my hair. The kiss lasted close to twenty seconds before we pulled away, catching our breath.

"Don't ever leave me Enoch." She whispered in my ear.

"I won't."

We laid down in her bed, she snuggled up next to me, closing her eyes and going to sleep. I closed my eyes and went to sleep as well.
