It's been a year since that day, and Erol has been constantly bugging me. Skip to the current time,  and there I was, sitting bored on the cold, hard floor, watching Keira tinker with her time machine thingy.

"I'm borrrreeeeeeeed" I whined while rolling around on the ground. Keira's eyes darted my way before returning to the machine.

"Stop rolling on the dirty floor. And if you want to go do something, take one of the zoomers over to Krew at the Hip Hog Saloon. I've heard from him that there's someone who could possibly be a racer for our team. Go check it out." I sat up and blew a stray hair away from my face.

"Alright, but I'm taking the blue one." I scrambled up from the floor and - I kid you not - leaped onto Keira's favourite zoomer. I slammed the keys into the ignition and took off racing out of the garage, hearing muffled yells of protest from Keira. I giggled and continued to speed through the city, only knocking over a few guards.

---At the Hip Hog Saloon (because I can)---

"Yo! Where's Krew?" I called out into the nearly empty bar. I could see Sig get up from his booth, cradling his peace-maker like it was a newborn child.

"Hey chili pepper. How's the garage?" he lifted his hand in the air, and I high fived him.

"Quiet. Boring. That's why I'm here." I shrugged. "Apparently Krew's got a guy that could be a possible racer for our team, so Keira sent me over to check it out." Sig nodded slowly.

"Well I'm pretty sure I know exactly who he's talking about. I think he'll do good." I nodded. If Sig was confident in this guy, then you know he's good.

"So where is Krew anyway?" I glanced around the saloon, trying to find the floating land mass.

"Takin' his afternoon nap I'll bet." Sig responded with a sigh. Oh well.

"Well I guess you could just let him know we're interested. Tell the racer we'll think about him if he makes it to the garage within three minutes." I smirked, sauntering up to the counter and ordering a small glass of water from Tess, the new barmaid. She greeted me with a smile as she placed my drink in front of me.

"Hey (Y/N)! How are you?" she asked cheerfully.

"I'm fine, how's my old job going?" I responded before taking a gulp of my water. Tess shrugged.

"It's fine. I get to see some interesting new customers." Her eyes softened as she got caught up in a daydream. I knew that look.

"What's he like?" I asked smugly. Her cheeks darkened as her head snapped up to me.

"Um, well. He's a bit on the short side. Orange hair." she gave a small description. Alright. I finished my water and placed my cup down on the counter. Wiping my lip I said a quick goodbye to Tess, which she returned. Giving Sig another high five, I walked out of the saloon, and mounted the zoomer. I decided to have a little ride around the city before returning to Keira.

--Yet another timeskip--

"Hey (Y/N)!" Keira called from across the room

"What's up?"

"Krew called, and his racer's on the way." she responded before going back to work on another zoomer. I grabbed a stopwatch and clicked it on before walking out the garage doors and leaning on the wall.

It had been about 2 and a half minutes before I noticed a zoomer speeding towards the garage. That had to be our guy. I clicked the stopwatch off again and watched as he got off the zoomer, walking my way. He was around an average height, wearing a blue tunic and white trousers. He had greenish-blonde hair that looked a little messy, but what I really noticed, was his cerulean blue eyes, hard and filled with a look of determination.
