Listen to Faded by Alan Walker for this chapter
•As I pull into the driveway, tears prick the corner of my eyes. I don't know what happened. I thought I could be strong, not cry for once. Hearing whispers pound at my head, jumbled up, I give up trying to hold the tears in and let it all out.
"Stop," I plead "please."
My head is on the steering wheel and my hands clench the handles tightly, trying to get a grip on my life.

Beep! Beep! Beep!
I slam my palm onto the phone, shutting it off and climbing off my bed. Downstairs, I grab a cup of tea and get dressed.
The bustling sound of the school makes my head pound. After crying so much last night, I lost a lot of water. The smell of coffee and tobacco lingers in the hallway.
"Crap!" I mutter under my breath as I see Annabelle, Chris and their passé walk up to me. I quickly turn around to walk away but quickly feel a hand grab my wrist firmly.
"Hey, what's the rush?" I turn around to see Chris with his smirk that I would gladly slap right off that pretty little face of his.
"Please, I need to get to class, get your filthy hands off of me!" I snap.
"Woah, someone's feisty! Let me guess, the psychotic imaginary friend in your head told you too. Well, hate to break it to ya, but they aren't real, you're just insane."
"Please. Let. Me. Go." I demand.
"Nope, I'm not like your dad. It must be sad knowing that your dad hated you so much that he left. What a shame. But, I don't blame him, I would've done the same." He comments.
All of a sudden, I feel a strong, cold hand grab my forearm and yank it out of Chris' grasp.
"Let's go, June." I hear a familiar voice say calmly.
The grip loosens slightly and I am pulled down the hallway and into another corridor.
"You okay?" Jett says with sympathy in his eyes.
"Yeah! Perfect!" I reply, forcing a smile.
"Okay... Well, we are going to be late for English if we don't hurry up."

I walk through the library door and sit at an empty table, pulling out my calculus homework and a pen.
After about an hour, trying, and getting distracted, I go to put my math book in my backpack, when I hear a familiar voice.
"Juniper! Hold on wait up!" I look behind my shoulder to see Jett staring at me.
"Oh, hey!" I say with a smile.
"You look frustrated,"
"Well, that's math for ya!"
"Need a tutor?" He asks.
"Wait what?"
"Do you need a tutor?" He says again.
