I nudged Ghost onto his feet, his legs shook as he stood there. I neighed loudly at him and stamped my hoof impatiently. He ran forward finally. I began to chase after him, before being stopped with a rope around my neck.. he grew farther and farther then finally disappeared into the distance field. I neighed for him but he was to far away.
"Woah girl.." the rider said as she pulled on the rope around my neck. i pushed the opposite way. Towards were ghost had gone. I looked back the horse the woman was riding. she neighed quietly.
"Hopefully he'll return.." she said looking down and back at me. i shook my head. and looked again were he had disappeared. A tear rolled down my cheek.
They took me back to my stables were all the other familiar horses were.
"where did you go?"
"howd you escape??"
the other horses said as i walked shyly into the stables. Most of them probably didn't care anyways if i left. Some of them whispered not so nice things about me.. i heard..
i walked to where i saw my mom last sleeping.. her soft words, ran through my head replaying and replaying...
