This may sound kinda weird, but I woke up to someone kissing my forehead.

I didn't wake up when the rain first started pouring. I didn't wake up when I was finally drenched. I woke up when someone kissed my forehead.

This guy - I assumed it was a guy cause he was strongly built, and very extrememly tall - kissed my forehead and then proceeded to pick me up off the ground. I distinctly wondered who the heck he was and part of me might have realized that I could have been getting kidnapped, but I was too tired to care. I snugged up close to his chest finding warmth there. I wasn't even fully awake and I had little awareness of my surroundings. It was still raining, but the guy wasn't wet.

He took me into the cabin and layed me upon the small bed there. I turned to my side and brought my knees closer to me. I took in the cosiness of the room. The guy started a fire, took off his coat and layed down beside me, putting an arm protectively over my waist.

I don't know why I let him do that. Maybe because I was tired. But, to be honest, I felt safe in his embrace. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his chest. He chuckled softly, before pulling me closer to himself. I loved his smell of his aftershave, but my brain didn't feel like comprehending stuff, just sleeping.

***

I woke up again, this time to find someone staring at me. I rubbed my eyes, and then realized who he was and promptly jumped out of bed, breaking his hold of my waist.

"Dimitri?!"

"Hey Roza. Did you sleep well?" he said with a smirk.

I rubbed my eyes again, just to make sure I wasn't still asleep. Why the hell was I with Dimitri Belikov? In bed?

I had my clothes on, so I breathed a sigh of relief. I looked confusily at Dimitri, and he burst out laughing. That caused me to feel even more confused. What the hell could have happened last night to make Dimitri laugh so openly like that?

"Oh Rose, next time, don't fall asleep on the ground like that. Especially in the middle of a thunderstorm," he said after he stopped laughing.

I glared at him and then opened the door a little too violently, stepped outside, and was greeted with cold sleet. A pair of strong hands wrapped themselves around my waist and pulled me inside, shutting the door behind.

Dimitri whispered into my ear, "It's still raining Rose. Plus, there are no classes today. Everyone's either in their dorms, or taking shelter somewhere else. Nobody allowed to go outside anyway, and Alberta knows that you're here with me."

"Does she know what type of thoughts you're thinking right now?"

"I'm not sure."

My eyes widened.

"Relax Roza. My question is, do you know the type of thoughts I'm thinking right now?"

"Let go of me."

"Nope. Answer me first."

"Let go of me."

"I'll let go if you tell me exactly what you think I'm thinking right now."

"I said let go of me. Now Dimitri." My voice was rising with dangerous anger now.

He plopped himself on the bed, still holding my waist tightly. He positioned me to face himself, and wrapped his leg around me, still holding onto my waist.

I do not take responsibility for what happened next cause it was his fault I panicked.

I punched him in the eye.

His hands instinctively went to his eye, effectively letting go of me. I loosened the hold his leg had around me and rolled out of the bed. But by the time I had opened the door, he had already caught up to me.

His now black eye was left unattended as he picked me up from my waist. No matter how much I kicked at thin air, he wouldn't let go. Even though I knew it was no use, I kept struggling to get out of his hold.

He put me down and turned me around, our foreheads almost touching. I had a protective urge to tend to his eye. I dismissed the thought. I wasn't gonna feel guilty over that.

"Rose," he said. "Calm down. I'm not going to do anything you don't want to."

My shoulders visibly relaxed as he said that. He noticed the change and let me go.

"You okay?" he asked, concern laced into his voice.

I nodded.

"You wanna know what happened last night?" he asked me while leading me to the only couch in the cabin.

"Something happened last night?!" I said, horrified.

He chuckled again, "Not like that. I'll tell you my story of finding you if you tell me what happened yesterday and why were you asleep next to the cabin, on the ground, during a thunderstorm."

So I told him about Lissa and Alberta and whatever else happened yesterday. I won't admit it, but I kinda missed talking to him.

"What's wrong with having the training sessions again?" he asked me.

"Everything," I replied. "Tell me, are we going to get much training done?"

He smirked and said, "No promises." And I rolled my eyes.

"And Rose," he said. "You are gonna have to get the molniga marks whether or not you want to. And therapy could be good for you."

With that I angrily jumped off of the couch we were sitting on and he instinctively pulled me back down.

"I'm sorry," he said as I sighed. "How many did you kill anyway?"

I averted my eyes and said, "A lot."

He wrapped me up in a bear hug and said, "It's okay. You wanna hear my side now?

I nodded.

"Well," he said. "I was on forest patrol when the rain started. I already finished my shift so I went to take shelter in this cabin, when I saw you asleep outside like that. It was all I could do not to laugh. What the heck were you thinking Roza?"

By now he was chuckling, and I couldn't help but smile at how open he was acting, me still in his arms. I had no idea why I was letting him touch me, but I knew that even though how hard I try, I couldn't help but like it.
