Teleportation ;)

So, hey, I'm laughing my head off right now. This imagine came straight from the minds of me and my good friend hayniaczone. We probably belong in a mental hospital, but whatever. I really hope this theme becomes popular and cliche for fanfictions because honestly it's hilarious.

Oh, and the scientific stuff was from Exemplore.com. I'm not that smart.

I'm Anna Jenkins. Boring intro? Maybe. But what isn't boring is what my best friend, Cassie, and I have discovered.

We learned how to teleport.

It was a freak accident, at first, at least. We were sitting in science class one day when something our teacher said sparked my interest.

"Dematerialization. The process of which an object loses a massive amount of weight instantly."

That sounded really cool to me, so I turned around in my seat to face Cassie to see if she thought the same. She was picking at her nails mindlessly, obviously day dreaming in class again. (A/N: *wink wink*)

I turn back around and jot down whatever intriguing things my professor says. He goes on about the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen effect.

My professor says that it's when "two particles can become entangled such that when the properties of one change it automatically affects the properties of the other."

And what I hear is this: "Basically, if you disentangle them, you can gather a reasonable amount of stuff from the first particle to be able to collect the information from the other particle. And if you send the information of the combination of the two particles to some place, then it can reform into an identical copy."

So teleportation.

I scribble down a bunch of notes and thoughts about the topic on a wrinkled piece of lined paper.

"Cass," I hiss under my breath, so the teacher doesn't hear. She looks up at me with a curious expression. I push my glasses up on my nose and shove the note on her desk before turning back around.

After a few minutes, I feel a poke at my back. I spin around and see Cassie smiling. She slides the note back. I look down at it and can't help but smile as well.

Lab after school. We've got stuff to do.

We built this laboratory in her basement a few years back when our parents noticed we both loved science and experimenting. They were also a little peeved that our experiments would end up breaking stuff around the house, so we got moved to the basement. And if I don't come straight home after school, my parents just assume I'm over at the lab doing something.

The last bell of the day finally rings, and Cassie and I make a mad dash for the door. Before we know it, we're out of the school and racing down the streets in my car towards the lab. Once we pull into the driveway, we both jump out and race to the basement. Once we arrive, we waste no time in setting up the experiment. We've been trying to find out how teleportation works ever since we were little, so we were prepared.

We get to work, while blasting our favorite music, of course. Hunter Hayes's voice travels throughout the basement as we set up the contraption.

Once everything is set up after hours of excruciating hard work, I look at the clock. 10:30 pm.

"Do you think it'll work this time?" Cassie asks, eyeing our machine warily. I nod.

"It will. I know it will."

We  both just stand there, staring at the beautiful work of science.

"Should we try it out?" I ask after a long pause. Cassie nods and grabs the carrier sitting on the back lab table. She unclasps the hinges and opens the door to the cage, then brings out a white lab rat. She carries it and puts it in the machine. I cross my fingers and start flipping switches and pushing buttons. I set the destination for inside the carrier. Sounds erupt from all over the machine. Whirring of gears and the sound of intense air pressure makes me hold my hands to my ears. Suddenly, it all stops.

I remove my hands from my ears and peer inside the machine. No mouse in sight. Behind me, Cassie scurries off to the carrier and opens it up, revealing the lab rat.

"We did it! Finally!" she exclaims, holding her hand up for a high-five. I clap my hand against hers with a grand smile.

"It actually worked!" I gasp, unable to believe it. We jump around, Hunter Hayes music blaring in the background, as we celebrate our big feat. Suddenly, I remember something. I slap a hand over my forehead.

"What?" Cassie asks, starting to frown at me. My face slowly starts to form a smile.

"You know how there's a Hunter Hayes concert tonight, right?"

"Yeah, but it's all the way in California," she deadpans. I raise my eyebrows at her and watch as she understands what I'm getting at.

"Do you really wanna teleport there? How're we going to get back?" she asks. I grin and hold up two wristbands. They had small, rectangular boxes on them, that would act as a catalyst for our get away. I can see the gears in her head turn as she takes in the wristbands.

"You didn't."

"Oh yes I did."

We both slip them on and creep into the machine. I stick my hand out and activate it. The whirring noises begin again and it feels as if my lungs are being compressed under a thousand tons of steel. All I see is black.

Suddenly, the pressure stops. The sound is replaced by the sound of screaming. A bright light shines in my eyes as I open them.

"AH!!!!" a high-pitched scream sounds from right beside my ear, making me wince. I turn and see Cassie with her mouth wide open in shock. I squint my eyes and look closer at what exactly made that screech.

When I see what it is, I realize it is a who.

And that who is Hunter Hayes.

My face contorts into a horrified expression as the crowd screams. I notice we are on stage, with a spotlight on us. Chaos breaks out on the stage that we're standing on. The drummer, Steve, jumps up and throws a drumstick at us. Hunter hides behind a piano. Matt runs off stage. Andy and Sam jump nearly twenty feet in the air.

I turn back to Cassie, who's wearing the same horrified face as me. We click the buttons on out wristbands furiously and disappear.
