Hello, readers! Sorry if I haven't updated for quite a while. I was quite busy with my Masteral. Projects, exam, you know the usual. But here I am again, and I am so happy to be back! Now that it is break time for us, I'll try to update as much as I can. Please bear with me. So here it is, Chapter 7!
CHAPTER 7- Playing with Fire
TANNER
It's been a week since I started attending BIS and I love the environment. I became good friends with Stephanie and another one named Lance. Whenever I am not with Maria and the others, I go with them. Sometimes they would go with me and over the week, they even made friends with them. Yet lately, Kisses hasn't been joining us.
"Hey, guys, I can't stay with you right now. I'm sorry," she said as she cleared her things from the table and placed it inside her bag. We were staying i one of the gazebos. She looked a bit flustered as she stared at her phone.
I grabbed her hand and looked at her. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah! I just forgot I need to do something in the library." I stared at her and looked at Yong, who seems to be eyeing her suspiciously. That's the thing with Yong. He knows her a lot and I, as a boy, know he's into Kisses. But I think it was already an established fact between them that Kisses sees him only as a brother.
Her phone suddenly rang and it drew my attention back to her. "Really, just wait for me there. Is that too much to ask? No don't... Argh!" She turned her phone off and her head snapped at the opening of our gazebo when suddenly, a guy appeared.
"Come on Delavin. I don't like waiting," the pale faced guy said. Kisses huffed and spread her hands i frustration. Defeated, she grabbed her bag and swung kt to her back. Before she even made her way to the palefaced guy I grabbed her drew her near me. "who is he?"
"A nobody," she simply said. "We work as a pair for a project but we don't actually get along well."
"If he does something to you, you know what to do okay?" I always worry about her and noe that I'm back I'll do everything I can to be what I should have been all throughout the years I was away from her.
"I'll be okay, don't worry," she said, giving me a pat on the shoulder. I suddenly looked up when I noticed the pale faced guy already standing beside her, holding her by her arm.
"I said I don't like waiting. I got better things to do than standing here waiting for you, so get a move on it." He tried dragging Kisses away from me. I held on to her and though I tried not to, this bloke really is getting on my nerves.
"Get your hand off of her. She'll go with you. There's no need for you to drag her," my voice was in the control-your-rising-temper mode but I think it was evident I was starting to get really pissed off. Kisses looked at me and slightly shook her head which I knew meant to tell me it's okay.
"Do you even know who you are talking to?" he said, the air of arrogance all over him.
"Do I have to? Cause I don't really care who you are. All I know is that I don't like how you treat Kisses." We glared at each other for a few moments but got cut off when Kisses pushed us away from each other with the help of Stephanie and Maria. I saw Maymay swallowed in the tense atmosphere building up around us.
"Come on let's go." Kisses took his hand and went down from the gazebo and headed to the library. I sat down and took a deep breath. Who does he think he is? Seriously, he acts as if he can control Kisses at his own whim.
