Chapter 17

"BB help me" Kennedy shrieked as she struggled to blow bubbles. I laughed and blew a big bubble which caused Kennedy to laugh and scream

"Daddy look. It's big" she said with much excitement. Shawn laughed and walked over towards us. He smiled and began tickling her. I

smiled as I watched their interaction.

It had been two months since Shawn and I's talk at the park. With much convincing Shawn agreed to us being friends. We've been nothing been platonic which I was completely fine with. Shawn and I aren't as close as we used to be but it is a work in progress.

"Daddy has to go okay but be good for BB okay" Shawn said as he kneeled down in front of Kennedy. Her eyes began to water and she grabbed onto his neck. He held her close and whispered something in her ear. She smiled brightly and ran inside the house.

"What did you say to her"? I laughed

"That you would play tea party with her" he chuckled. I playfully hit him on his chest and rolled my eyes. That girl has been trying to get

me to play with her all week.

He threw his head back and laughed.

"Take care of my child B" he laughed as he walked towards his car. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the car

"You seriously going out with her"?

"You jealous"? he laughed

"Of course not. I just don't see what you see in her"

"She's a good girl B"

"Good girl but not your type" I yelled

"Oh yeah what's my type" he said as he got into his car. I smirked and walked away.

About a month ago Shawn told me he and Ashley had been on a few dates. He admitted to liking her and said that it could possibly lead to something. When he told me that he was going out with her I offered to watch Kennedy.

Once I entered Shawn's home Kennedy had set her tea cups and plates and the floor.

"Sit down BB" she said while grabbing my hand. I laughed at her eagerness and made a pallet on the floor. I watched as Kennedy took

the tea pot and grabbed a cup. She poured "tea" into my cup and then handed it to me. I pretended to drink from the cup and then

rubbed my belly afterwards.

"You silly BB" she giggled. The two of us sat on the floor for about an hour playing tea party. Afterwards I made her a sandwich with

juice.

It was now 8 o clock and Shawn hadn't arrived home. Kennedy wanted to wait for him but I convinced her to take a nap and I would wake her when he arrived.

Time seemed to go by rather slowly. I grew bored and decided to raid Shawn's kitchen for food. Because I didn't want to make a full course meal I settled on a frozen pizza. As soon as I was about to put the pizza in the oven I heard the front door lock click.

I scrambled around the kitchen but was caught red handed

"Really Bey"? Shawn said as soon as he walked into the kitchen. I burst out in a fit of giggles

"You didn't expect me to here for five hours and not eat did you"? I laughed. Shawn threw his hands up in defeat.

"You should really buy some food. This isn't healthy" I said while shaking my head

"Hey it works for Kenn and I"

"So how was your little date"? I watched as Shawn's facial expression changed. He slightly frowned and I couldn't help but laugh
