It was two months ago when it all started

Chapter 6

I start walking away from them and down the beach to where my friends are 'well I guess they are my friends now'. I scream to them " hey guys, hey I'm okay". I look behind me and realise their still following me so I start to run, I turn around and start jogging backwards and shout at Nix and Tess " eta kuram na smekh". Tessa giggles at me 'cause she's nerdy too.

I keep running when I reach my friends, I collapse into a fit of laughter. Jemma looks down at me and asks "are you alright?". I sigh and look up at her "I found a fellow treky. You haven't started without me have you?" Jem shook her head at that. "So guys, this is Tessa and Nixon. Tess, Nix this is Jemma, Becky, Mason and my little brother Jayne. We're headed to Auckland to find my brother and his boyfriend".

"So let's get this party started" I say. I then pull off my shoes, and put my stuff with the others. "I think I saw some fizzy back there" Tessa says. "Wait Tess take Jem with you to stay safe". Tess rolled her eyes but does as I told her anyway, Jem followed her.

I slide out of my dress, then I go to Jayne and take off all his clothes, aside from the underwear. I then take Jayne down to the water, to help him swim. When I reach the water, I can help but look back at Becky and the boys ( who are all, already looking at me) and asking "You coming or what? Don't want to miss out on all the fun". I almost laugh at how fast both of the boys rush to get their clothes off. The most amusing part is becky's face once they run away from her, and towards the sea not even one glance at her;she looks mortified.

After swimming for awhile the girls came back screaming "We have juice and lemonade". Charlie came up from under the water and shouted "Shut up don't wanna attract the zoms"  about three times as loud. We then here a loud groaning sound "Knew it was too good to be true".

I jump up, grab my clothes and my brother, then tell everyone to hurry up. We run in the opposite direction to the zombies; but as we turn the corner we run into another hoard. Before we even realize it we're cornered. "Dammit, dammit, dammit" I repeat like a mantra. Just as I had accepted my fate, I hear a loud bang and then shouting; but I can't make out what their saying. Beside me Becky whispers (so as too not attract the zombies attention, back to us) "Is that the spray and walk away add?". Sure enough the man said 'spray and valk away'.

Just as all the zombies disappeared, full grown men ran towards us, with guns and masked covering their faces. "Hey Ann, Nice outfit" one of the men said while looking me up and down. I blush remembering that I didn't have time to get changed, I then scowl at him and say "We just got chased by zombies, Who are you t-; Davvy?". The man grins cheekily and says "Last time I checked that was my name." I throw myself at my brother's boyfriend, and wrap my arms and legs around him.

"Way to feel appreciated, little sis" the man who must be my brother says. "I love you too Matty, but I love Davvy more" I say to him. "Maddy" I hear my little brother exclaim, Then he runs at Matt and hugs his leg chanting his name. "Hello Janny" My big brother says.

"Jem , how's it going?" David says as he releases me. " Well besides the fact that we just got chased by zombies. All is well, you?". Before David can answer, Matt says " So, who are you're friends?" Addilyn looks around surprised, as she forgot her friends were there. "This is Becky and Mason, they go- went to our school. Then these two wonderful people are, Tessa and Nixon". "nice to meet you all, but we are low on supplies and need to stock up" David says. "follow us, if you will" Matt says, trying to walk with a little boy clasped around his leg.

Matt sighs and picks Jayne of his leg and carries him. "keep up" David says to the teenagers trailing behind. "So" Matt says to David. "I bet you two chocolate fish, that Addy picks Mason over Nixon" "Deal" David agrees. Just then the teens catch up to them. "Hey Add; I never did ask you what happened to Mum and Dad". Addilyn sighs, trying not to remember it in to much detail. " Long story short, I got home and dad had a taste for mum" She said grimacing.
