Rapunzel

Prince Charming is taking a while
I like my hair short
and frankly
being alone makes me happier
than I bet he could.

so maybe I'm modern day
Rapunzel
without the longing to be found,
rescued,
and to see the world;
but the longing to be
lost,
forgotten,
and left alone.
