Chapter Three: Second Date

Perfect.

I examine my outfit in the mirror and nod my head in satisfaction.

I am wearing a short blue dress that clinches at my waist with a belt. It's Dove's dress. She brought so many of them, I'm not really sure why. Her closet is filled with them; where does she keep the rest of her clothes?

My hair is slightly curled at the end and I have a pair of black flats on. I can't imagine what'll look better than this.

"I hate myself!" Dove bursts though the door and throws her books onto the ground. Her face is bright red and her eyes are puffy.

I stare at her, my eyes wide, "Are you okay?"

"What does it look like to you? Today, there was this really mean girl and she made fun of me for having ADHD after my stupid professor announced it to the whole class!" Dove sits on her bed and puts her head in her hands, "I am a failure!"

She is way overreacting, but then again... this is Dove.

"Don't listen to those types. All they do is take other people's power and vacuum it up into their body," I stretch my arms out in front of Dove, inviting her for a hug.

She gratefully accepts and cries onto my shoulder, "You smell like flowers."

"Thank you. I'm going to this club with Drew," I tell her.

"Which one?" she asks, letting go of me and going to retrieve her books where she threw them. They are in a mess on the floor. Some textbooks are open and facing down, so that their spines are getting broken.

I think of the name Drew mentioned, "I think it was Light Nights Night Club. It's the one across town." I remember him saying that his cousins told him that it was the best club that this community will ever see.

She shakes her head vigorously like a little child, "I hear there are weirdos over there. It's filled with drunkards."

"I guess I'll find out," I give her a grin, "You wanna come with us?"

"I'd love to!" her face immediately falls, "But, I've got so much homework!'' She knows that if she doesn't turn in assignments on time, it will either effect your grade horribly or you might get kicked out of the course.

I give a little laugh, "Education comes first!"

Dove grabs all her books and spreads them all across her bed. She sits on a tiny corner of her bed and begins writing. She so small that she doesn't fall off of the bed, She tucks loose curls behind her ear and continues to work peacefully. I smile at the sight of a hyper girl working calmly. It's not something that you see everyday when it comes to Dove.

I add a charm bracelet that I got at a cheap antique store and put on my makeup. It was hard to put on just the right amount of makeup because I don't want to look flawed and I definitely don't want to look like a clown.

"You look really pretty, Celeste!" Dove says as her eyes are glossed with admiration.

As if on cue, there is a knock on the door. Drew is here.

When I open the door, Drew scans my outfit, "Very classy." This is the second time ever that Drew Everett has commented on my appearance.

"Thanks," I blush, but make sure not to let Drew see it.

Drew is wearing a casual attire, but I can tell he spent a little extra time on his hair, which is neatly gelled back. His jeans are a little tighter than usual, his shirt looks new , and he smells really nice.
