{Luke's POV}
Just my stupid imagination, yet again. I really needed to get it into my head that she was in England, and wasn't coming back. I turned around anyway, just to make sure, and obviously I was correct. There was no sign of Ally at all, just a bunch of my old relatives and drunk James and Daniel pissing about at the back. Jai wasn't in sight, but he was probably talking to Nonna in the kitchen, as I couldn't see her either, and he would be most likely drunk...
"11:43! 17 minutes to go!" I heard someone shout, and a large cheer followed it.
I'd have joined them if I had actually taken a drink tonight, but I thought it was best to sober up, so my eyes and ears wouldn't deceive me, but it's been pretty useless though so far. After a few minutes of lingering around the backyard, I decided to drag my body slowly towards the front of the house, incase there was something better happening. But I doubted it.
{Jai's POV}
"Nonna, I'm going to go and get some air at the front of the house." I said, leaving the kitchen and exiting the house.
I walked out of the door and sat on the porch of the house, watching the night roll by. There were occasional cheers coming from other houses, but apart from that, I was completely alone. I turned my body to face the house so I could block out the view of the street. My phone buzzed in my pocket, disturbing my silence, but I knew it was a reminder for the New Year in 5 minutes. If I was honest, I didn't want to spend New Years with my family, getting hugs and kisses at 12 o'clock, I was much happier out here! I stood up from the porch and started to walk around the area outside the house, exploring the different parties that we going on. I heard the countdown of 60 seconds coming from each of the different houses, so I slowly made my way back to the front of the house.
"ITS MIDNIGHT!!!" Everyone screamed as the whole neighbourhood blew up in fog and smoke due to the fireworks.
I couldn't see a thing, and that's when I felt a pair of soft, perfect lips connect with mine. But who's were they...
"Happy New Year baby!" The familiar voice said.
Everything was just so foggy. I pushed away slightly, but it didn't seem to upset her. I stood still, trying to hard to make out who the figure belonged to, but my eyes were already blurry from my alcohol, and the firework fog didn't help at all! I reached out in front of me to realise that the figure had gone, completely left my side.
{Luke's POV}
I pushed open the gate of the front-yard exactly as midnight was announced, and a good 20 seconds later, I was greeted by an extremely familiar pair of lips.
"ALLY" I shouted, slowly making out the features of her face through the fog.
"Happy New Year baby!" I added, smiling through the kiss.
The fog soon cleared up, and I could see her incredible face, god I had made a huge mistake leaving her. I was almost sure that I heard someone before Ally, but there was no one in sight, not for miles.
"Are you ok baby?" I asked, looking at her embarrassed face.
"Of course, I'm finally with you again!" She said, with unease.
{Jai's POV}
I couldn't catch my breath, I was inhaling and exhaling so quickly. My back was against the fence outside Nonna and Nonno's house. As soon as my vision cleaned up, I ran. I finally figured out the figure, the one I kissed on New Years. My first New Year's kiss of 2014.
I kissed Ally.
