Ice Cream Wonders

Amanda Rollins and Sonny Carisi have been together now for almost 4 months. The two spent so much time with one another, they were practically inseparable, but they had not yet said the three magic words to one another. I love you. Sonny always seemed to be with Amanda, helping out with Jesse, and being company to Amanda. The long binges of reality TV which Sonny despised, but he watched anyway because he knew Amanda loved it.

The two of them would lay on the couch, Amanda held tightly in Sonny's arms, a blanket draped over both of them, and watch these terrible reality shows. It was the greatest moment for them.

"I'm getting tired of this, Mandy. Let's do something else." Sonny said as he ran his fingers through Amanda's blonde hair.

"Getting tired of me?" Amanda popped her head up from Sonny's chest, baring puppy dog eyes and a pouted lip.

"No, of course not, sweetheart! It's just that we've been on this couch since noon and it's almost 4:30." he smiled at her reassuringly.

"Okay, what do you wanna do?" Amanda's voice was light and airy, quite adorable.

"Why don't we take Jesse and the three of us go get ice cream and talk about whatever you want. Sound good?" he flashed that charming smile once again, drowning Amanda in lust.

She giggled a little, and smiled back. She pushed herself forward and pecked Sonny on the lips, lingering as she did so. Sonny had just started to kiss back when she pulled away.

"Okay!" she hopped up and ran into Jesse's bedroom to find the little blonde baby awake and happier than ever.

Sonny found himself in Amanda's bedroom, opening his own drawer of clothing. The weather that day had been exceptionally great: 70 degrees and sunny. Sonny changed into a band tee and ripped jeans, lacing up a pair of converse. He looked like a teenager, but Amanda always thought it was adorable.

He met his girlfriend in the living room. Amanda wearing a cute sundress, and Jesse wearing a dress very similar, looking cute as a button.

"Ready?" Sonny asked as he handed Amanda his arm.

"Let's go." she smiled as she accepted his offer.

The two found themselves strolling down the street, heading towards the Dairy Queen a couple of blocks from Amanda's apartment. They were enjoying not only themselves, but the great weather, and the fact that they were a couple. It seemed unreal to them.

They waltzed into the Dairy Queen moments later, surprised at how empty the establishment was. Amanda ordered a cookie dough blizzard, Sonny ordered a hot fudge sundae, and they got little Jesse a small vanilla ice cream cone.

After getting their ice cream, the three of them sat in the far corner. It was silent for a little while until Amanda spoke.

"Thanks for this, Sonny. I really needed it. I haven't left my apartment in three days." she said sounding annoyed with herself.

Sonny reached across the table and grabbed her delicate hand. She was trembling, but Sonny was unsure of why. He rubbed his hand smoothly across the back of her hand, giving her a sense of security.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm always here. I would do anything for you, Mandy. You deserve happiness, you deserve the world." he said in a hushed tone.

She smiled down at the table as she tried to hide the fact she was blushing, but Sonny knew she was. He always knew how she was feeling.

Sonny, being the man child that he is, dipped his finger into his sundae and smeared it on the tip of Amanda's nose, giggling in the process.

"Dominick Carisi!" she said in shock, but succumbing into laughter.

"That's my father's name, don't wear it out." he laughed.

She tipped her finger in her blizzard and smeared it on Sonny's nose in revenge.

"There! That's payback, Dominick Carisi, Jr." she put emphasis on the junior.

"That's much better." she smiled.

They broke into laughter, Jesse joining in with a little giggle. The two found themselves leaning over the table towards one another, the distance between them decreasing by every millisecond. Before they knew it, their lips were touching. The softness of the other's lips mesmerizing the other. They deepened the kiss, then eventually pulled back.

"I love you." Amanda spoke as soon as their lips parted.

That's the first time she's ever said those words to Sonny. The first time she's ever said those words to anyone really. She's never felt this way about anyone in her entire existence. The way Sonny made her feel was like a ride through life. Sonny made her feel wanted, worth it, and loved. And for the first time in her life, she finally said those magic words, to the person whom she meant it.

Sonny was in awe, staring at Amanda's delicate face, boring into her deep ocean blue eyes. A smile began to trickle at the corner of his mouth, it eventually broke into a full fledged smile, encasing Amanda in a wave of lust once more.

"I love you too."
