That Very First Kiss

Amanda's head was a mess of things as she sat at her desk, finishing and filing paperwork that she had started hours ago. The stack of papers on her desk were sky high, she didn't know if she could finish it in time. She was stressing majorly over everything.

"Hey, Amanda, you wanna go out to dinner?" Carisi asked her, leaning over onto her desk.

"I wish I could, Carisi, but I have all this damn paperwork to finish." she looked up into his eyes and stared deep into one another's eyes and she sighed, writing more with the pen she kept clicking in and out.

When they stared at each other for that short time, she allowed her eyes to drop down to Sonny's soft, pink lips. Begging for her own to be pressed against his.

"Well, paperwork can wait. You deserve a break, you've been at for hours. C'mon." he took the pen from Amanda's hand and laid it down on the desk.

Amanda sighed and stood up from her chair, Carisi grabbing her coat for her immediately after.

"I'll be back in a second, I'm gonna go buy a drink from the machine. I'm dying over here." she said as she reached into her pocket to grab the dollar she had stuffed in there this morning.

She hurried off to the break room, heart racing. She and Sonny had been an 'unofficial' couple for quite some time now, not really showing everyone they were interested in one another. They had slept in the same bed together, held hands and talked lovingly to each other in privacy, they basically lived together. But one thing they didn't do, they never shared their first kiss yet.

She put the crinkled dollar into the machine, only to find out that it popped right back out.

"Ugh!" she creased the dollar around the edge of the machine, hoping it would straighten it out.

She put it back in, it came out again.

"Dammit!!" she kicked the machine.

"Hey, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa..." Carisi said cautiously as he walked into the break room.

He wakes over to Amanda and put a hand on her shoulder. She sighed.

"You okay?" he asked softly.

"I'm fine." she kicked the machine again.

"Hey, let me get it." he knew that she was stressed, she had been stressed for a few days now, and he knew he needed to make her calm down a bit.

He took the dollar and tried to shove it in again, this time it stayed. He pressed the fruit punch button, knowing it was what she always got from the machine. It vended seconds later. He reached down, pulling it from the compartment, and stood back up, smiling.

"Thank you, Sonny." she said quietly.

Sonny had somehow managed to get closer to her, almost chest to chest. She stared up at him, lost in his deep blue gaze. He looked down, boring into her baby blues.

It was silent. Neither was speaking, neither was hardly breathing. Sonny drew nearer and nearer to her face, her heart was beating. She had been waiting for so long... Seconds later, Amanda felt Sonny's arm around her waist, and felt the softness of his lips graze against her's. She felt a wave of excitement and adrenaline rush through every orifice of her body. She relaxed into it, allowing it to consume her entire being.

She had been wanting this for so long, wanting it to be perfect, wanting it to be the right time, wanting it to be the best kiss she's ever had. And that's exactly what it was.

Carisi pulled away after a few seconds, staring once again into Amanda's eyes, then he smiled. So did she.

"Wow..." she said in a hushed voice, shocked.

"I've been wanting to do that for so long." he said as he rested her head in the palm of his hand.

"What took you so long?" she asked, pleading for an answer.

He hesitated for a second, thinking.

"I don't know....I guess I was scared...." he said awkwardly, his face turning a light pink.

"Don't be. I love you." she leaned in and kissed him again, this time harder.
