hey

My heart beats faster 

When I'm around you

Yet it's more peaceful 

And comfortable

And everything makes sense

When you're around.

And I miss you 

Like all the time.

I just want to be with you

Or talk to you,

But I'm scared to text you

Because I might bother you

I have never been that person

I always text first.

I love the way you smell

Like chlorine

And soap

And something so you.

I feel like I know 

Next to nothing about you.

But I want to know everything 

If you'll let me.

And I kinda

Want to grow up

And live with you

But I'm practical

We're only high schoolers

And I'm happy with what we have.

And I want you to be happy too.

I wish I could just talk to you about this

But I can't help but be scared.

Of what the future might hold
