Something felt off. After Eva left, Lia took off as well. I feel like Eva's in trouble. I want to call her, to see if she's okay, but I hold off since she probably doesn't want to hear from me right now.

I get some sprite from the fridge and hop on the counter, sipping on the cool beverage.

It'd be better if I got my computer and checked up on my emails. I hopped off the counter and practically ran to my room to get my laptop.

Once settled down on the counter with my laptop, I scan through my emails. Reporting some to junk and opening some who are important.

One email caught me off guard. It's from: Poseidon's Ballroom.

I open it.

Hello Nehal,

I have emailed you in response to your video of you singing at the 'Karaoke Bar' in Virgina. I found your identity under closed circuits. I would like to book you a show at our Ballroom. You can email me at this email account to discuss the planning and booking. Please take this offer into consideration.

Sincerely, manger and CEO of Poseidon' Ballroom, Evan Coper

Many questions boom in my head. A video of me singing? How? Booking me a show at the plaza?

I'm overjoyed and thrilled that I run into the room Adrianna and Emma were in.

"Guys!" I scream.

"What? What's going on?" Adrianna asks.

"Read this." I hand the laptop over to them.

They're eyes are glued to the screen as they read the email over and over again.

"Holy shit!" Emma exclaims, looking up at me.

"I never knew you had it in you." Adrianna was surprised but I was more surprised at her comment.

"What?"

"Don't act like you didn't know, that all those times you sang to yourself, I was listening."

"You were?"

"Hell, yeah!"

They both set the laptop on the coffee table in front of the couch and stand up and beat hug me.

"I'm so proud of you." Emma smiles like a child in a candy shop.

I give her a huge smile in return.

"Well, are you gonna email him back?" Adrianna gives me a reality check and I run to my laptop, bringing it over to the couch and sitting down. The girls follow.

Dear Evan,

I would like to accept your offer. But I would like for us to meet in person first. Any date will be alright. I'm very thrilled. Just contact me as soon as you humanly can.

Sincerely, Nehal

I make sure there wasn't any grammar issues and I hit send.

After double checking I sent it, I close the laptop, setting it on the coffee table. I lean back and rub my eyes with my hands.

The door opens and Lia walks in with a look on her face. But not just any look.

The look when she likes something.

The girls bombard her with questions while I sit and think about the opportunity.

Something bad stirs inside of me.
