The Proposal ~13

*Annabeth POV*

It was a good day until Percy insulted me. We were just sitting on dock looking at the lake and the sunset enjoying each other's company when he said it

"Wise girl"

"Yeah?"

"I don't like you name"

"Uh, excuse me?"

"Your name, its sucks"

I was starting to get a bit angry and upset. He has always told me he loved my name

"What part?!"

"Last name, I hate it"

"What's wrong with my last name?!?" We were both standing now

"I don't know... you should definitely change it"

"Change it!? To what?!?!"

He thought for a moment then looked me straight in the eye and said:

"Jackson"

Then walked off

I was frozen

"Did you just-"

"Did you just propose to me?"

I walked after him

"DONT WALK AWAY ON ME PERSEUS!"

"ARE YOU SMIRKING?! WIPE THE SMIRK OF YOUR FACE RIGHT NOW OR I WILL KI-"

I stopped dead in my tracks. Percy had lead me into a beautiful clearing with a small pond.

He turned around with the smirk on his face

"Calm down Annabeth"

"I can't calm down! Did you just propose to me?!?"

To answer he got down on one knee and said:

"When Grover first told me I had to leave and come to Camp Half Blood I had know idea of the crazy and scary adventures I would go on. I had no idea that when I woke up the love of my life would tell me I drool in my sleep" I laughed at that. My eyes were getting watery "When you got kidnapped by Dr Thorn, I was stressing. What could I do with out you? You save my life at every single turn. Then when you kissed me at Mt. St Helens I couldn't be happier. And when you took that knife for me, I was scared I wouldn't get to kiss you again. When our fellow campers through us into the canoe lake and we had the best underwater kiss of all time I was the happiest man alive. Then when I found my way to Camp Jupiter. I couldn't remember anything. Only one name and face. Your name and face" I gasped, he had never told me this "When I saw the Argo || fly into camp, I knew we were going to be brought back together. Then you had to go on a solo quest and I thought you might die. The scariest moment of our relationship for me was not when we fell, a few seconds before that when I thought I wouldn't be able to get your hand. I love you wise girl, with all my heart. So please, make me your Seaweed Brain and you can be my Wise Girl. Will you marry me?"

I was crying. I had never felt so happy in my life

"Of course Seaweed Brain!" He grinned and got up. He walked over and gently put the ring on my finger. It had a silver band with a large sea green diamond in the middle and on the sides it had two grey pearls.

I got up on my tippy toes and kissed him passionately. It quickly turned in to a make out session

But I didn't care that we had to get back to camp or a monster could attack us because in the very near future I wouldn't be Annabeth Chase, I would be

Annabeth Jackson

And I loved it
