Pattie wasn't sure if the bear would take the bait. Why eat a protein bar when there were humans in the area? She shivered just thinking about it.

"I know how you feel." Murmured Jane in a low voice, catching her expression. "I don't think this will work."

They spread the crumbs and hid behind trees. Luckily, the rain had washed their scents off them so the bear wouldn't notice them.

It took all of their strength to remain quiet as the bear ambled about, but finally it wandered off, completely ignoring the food set out for it.

"Well that was a waste of our food." Said John in a voice laced with sarcasm.

"Yeah...sorry about that." Said Paul.

"At least it left." Ringo chimed in optimistically.

"And we can go home." Brightened up George.

"I'm glad that bear bypassed us." Said Maureen with relief in her voice.

"Oh! We forgot to introduce ourselves!" Exclaimed Jane, and they all took turns introducing themselves to Maureen. She gave Ringo a special smile when he announced his name.

"I like that name of yours." She said shyly.

Ringo grinned. "It's because of all me rings." He said, holding up his hands and making Maureen laugh.

"Look at the two lovebirds." Whispered John to Cyn. She blushed.

"They look so cute together." She commented.

"Not as cute as you." Answered John.
