42. Mia's Outfit

Nikki

"Are you sure about this?" I ask as Tori gets out of the shower. "I mean have you even driven your car since you hooked up the nitrous?"

"Well I drove it to the garage today." She shrugs as she dries off.

"I mean have you like tested it out racing wise?" I correct and she laughs a bit.

"No, today is the first time." Tori admits. "Why?"

I leave my position of leaning in the door way and walk into the bathroom further. Tori is standing at the sink doing her makeup while wrapped in a towel. I hug my girlfriend from behind and kiss her hair and squeeze her a little tighter.

"Because I don't want you to wrap your car around a telephone poll or the car to explode or something." I explain and she rolls her eyes. "I kinda like you and I don't want to have to look for a new girlfriend." I joke and she laughs.

"Don't worry so much, babe." Tori tells me and turns around in my grasp. "My car is safe and I'm a good driver." She promises me and kisses my cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too, just promise me that you'll be careful." I say and she smiles.

"I promise." Tori beams and kisses me again. "I've gotta get dressed."

"Damn it!" I smirk and she laughs.

"Come on, the races are going to start soon." She tells me.

Tori

"Has your car gotten louder?" Nikki wonders as we get out of my car at the drags.

The camera crew beat us here and all the car guys are looking at them suspiciously. Thea and Jess are standing between their cars with Tommy, Vince, and Mick. Dom and Leo's El Co is parked beside my car and they're talking with the guy that runs the races, Tony. Mia doesn't look to be here yet.

"Yeah, I took the muffler off." I admit with a laugh. "I love pissing off my neighbours at four o'clock in the morning."

Nikki laughs and I grab his hand before we walk over to everyone else. Tommy catches sight of us first and makes a face, he's really not used to us yet.

"Oh yeah, we're doing your birthday tomorrow." Nikki tells me as we walk and I look up at him. "You had to do this all day today so I figured we'd just do all the birthday stuff tomorrow."

"Birthday stuff?" I ask with a laugh and he smiles.

"You'll see." He promises as we reach everyone else.

By the looks of my twin sister and Thea, all of us went home to shower off the garage smell. We're all wearing clean, non grease covered clothes and Jess' hair isn't straight like it was this morning. I look down at my shoes then Jess' shoes and notice wearing wearing the same opposite shoes, one red shoe and one black shoe...we didn't even plan this.

"You guys plan that?" Vince asks and looks down at our shoes too.

"Not even a little bit." I admit.

"That's the sad part." Jess laughs. "Anyways." She laugh and looks up. "Where's your twin sister at?"

"Yeah, I mean your piece of shit Ford made it here. I figured that her Barracuda would've made it here." I smirk and Thea crosses her arms.

"Fuck you, Victoria." She snaps and I laugh. "You're an asshole today, you know that right?"

"She's always an asshole." Jess pipes up. "We've lived together for like five years, how didn't you realize that?"

"You're sorta an asshole today too." Thea states. "What time did the two of you wake up?"

"3:09am." Jess speaks up.

"3:17am." I laugh.

"Why?" Thea asks.

"I know the answer to this one." Vince laughs. "We called them."

"Why?" Thea asks again.

"It was Tommy's idea!" Nikki defends with a laugh and I smile.

"But why?" She insists.

"They turned twenty two at 3:09 and 3:17." Our brother adds.

"How are you still awake?" Thea wonders and we shrug.

"Coffee." Jess starts.

"Energy drinks." I continue.

"More coffee."

"Yeah!" I agree.

"Blow." Jess lists and I nod.

"Yeah!" I agree.

"What?" Tommy and Nikki ask.

"Shit!" Jess and I mutter in unison.

"Jessica!" I hiss.

"Victoria!"

"Hey, what's going on?" Someone asks and we'll all look around to see Mia.

"Hey, look! Mia's here, let's talk about that!" I say loudly hoping that will change the subject enough.

Nikki pulls me closer to him and wraps his arms around my shoulders from behind. He hugs me in close to him and I know that something isn't right. That whole bit about blow was a direct hit on to Nikki because I know he wants me off cocaine and I know I told him I was off cocaine, he's gotta be pissed.

"We're going to talk about this later." He mumbles in my ear before kissing behind it.

"Okay." I agree and turn around to face him. "I love you."

"I know you do." Nikki smiles but I know that he's pissed off.

Great.

"Mia, what are you wearing?" Thea asks with a laugh.

I turn around and actually realize what Mia is wearing. She wears a black mini skirt over lace stockings with high heeled shoes. She wears a leather jacket that has short arms and a short torso, you can see her stomach. Just looking at her makes me cold.

"Clothes, Thea, I mean there's a law or something saying that I have to." Mia shrugs.

"It's also December." I speak up. "Why the hell are you dressed like a whore here of all places?"

"Because there's a lot of guys here, I'm making CC jealous." She states proudly and I roll my eyes.

"I'm not sure sleeping with the car guys is going to make CC jealous, Mia." Jess admits with a laugh. "I mean they're all friends with your brothers."

"Tori, you're dating your brother's friend." She reminds me.

"My brother isn't a drug deal, honey." I remark.

"She's got a point." Jess laughs.

"Oh fuck you guys!" Mia scowls and we laugh.

"Tori, Jess!" Dom calls as they walk up to us.

Dom catches sight of Mia and makes a face, similar to the face that Tommy made when he saw Nikki and I earlier. Leo makes a face to but shakes it off a bit quicker.

"Tony needs to see you two for coin flip." Leo states.

"Does he not know how to flip a coin?" I ask and they laugh.

"No, you're the first race." Dom explains.

"Oh cool." Jess laughs. "You're going down, Tori."

"You're dreaming, Jess." I joke back.
