"Ah this is a nice place." I said before going into my apartment. So this is Beacon Hills, nice quiet California town. It's nothing like Greece.

Better get to moving things.

I continue to settle my things into my new house.

Ugh why did I enroll myself into school as a junior. I thought while looking at my school supplies I recently bought. Dad's going to be mad once he finds out I'm here. I know my stepmom isn't home since it isn't fall yet. I don't even know if my own mother is, she might not even care.

Oh well it's not like they could keep me in a cage for long. I smiled to myself.

*Knock, Knock*

"Who the underworld will knock on my door. I'm new here!" I said out loud.

I put my hair up making sure to cover my ears. I went to open my door to find an older women standing there.

"Um hello. I just say that you moved in. I live across the street. My names Melissa McCall." She stretched out her hand to me.

I hesitantly shake her hand because she smells off.

"Hello. My names Persephone Night. It's nice to meet you." I faked a smile.

"Oh Persephone where are your parents?"

"I'm living on my own. They're in Greece."

"This whole house is just yours? How old are you?" Melissa was just asking me questions.

"Yes it's mine, and I'm sixteen. I'm old enough to live on my own."

"Well okay. If you need anything just let me know. I'll send my son over if he's not busy on my day off for dinner. If that sounds okay." She said with a sincere smile.

"Okay." I said back with a smile.

I didn't expect that.

I closed the door with a loud thump.

This whole town has a weird smell to it. Melissa smelled like she was around a Lycanthrope. Beacon Hills sure is not all it seems to be. I'll need to go at night to check this town out.

I pass by the mirror I had set up by the entrance and look at my pointed ears. The only identification of what I might be. It's also the indication of what my mother is.

*Sigh*
I run my hands over my ears and close my eyes. When I open them I see normal human ones.

"Well at least they won't stick out."

I continued to move things until i had to turn on the light, since moonlight didn't really help to see.

"Done!" I exclaimed while falling onto the soft couch.

"It's so lonely here. I wonder why Melissa would be nice." I was suspicious of her motives.

Well it's night already. Maybe I should look around.

I walk up the stairs to change into dark clothing.
