The main events that happen in a book is called a plot. Plots take place in the middle of the book where everything takes action. If you look back to 'The Planning' chapter you will see that in the middle of the book is where people set out on missions, battles happen, drama will occur and more.
For example in Alice in wonderland, the middle of the book is all in wonderland where she has all of her adventures and takes a journey through the curious land.
Another example is in James and the giant peach. The start of the book is quiet until he takes a journey on the giant peach. That is the plot. Then the ending resolves to a good ending.
