Footsteps

I chose to walk on a road,
which do had sign boards,
But were not that easy to decode.

I gazed as far as my sight could permit,
that foggy vision gave me only one thing,
which was hard to defeat- SILENCE in surfeit.

Solitary I still began to walk,
On this path, I would've had no one to talk,
Lucky to be backed by my Dad, And to have his shoulders,
Where I can lay, my head to rest.

With each step I took ahead,
Mist began to shed,
And finally I could trace,
Life and some familiar face.

The face I saw, I met and talked,
about their journey, to me they informed.
They too began without footsteps,
kept on moving and created their way.

Which inspired me,
if they did, even I can.
For now I don't seek for footsteps,
I'll go as far as my zeal takes,
And to my zeal I'll feed the best,
So that it won't ever ask for rest
