Niall: “It’s been 2 years, and I feel a lot more confident in us now. I love you [Y/N],” Niall explained, while going down on one knee. You wanted to enjoy this moment for everything it was, but your mind kept flashing back to the first time he proposed, and how awfully that had ended. “You’re sure we’re not still too young?” Niall stayed on one knee as he answered you, “No, I don’t. These 2 years were good, we needed them, and I now know for sure I want to marry you. So will you give me another chance and say yes?” You looked at the brand new engagement ring, and nodded hesitantly. ”Yes, I will. If you do the same thing again though, you don’t get a third try.”

Zayn: “How have you been?” Zayn awkwardly asked, when you ran into each other 2 months after your almost wedding. “I’ve been pretty miserable without you,” you replied honestly, not feeling like lying about how awful you still felt.  You watched as Zayn’s face fell, “I’m sorry [Y/N]. I’ve missed you too, if that means anything.” You rolled your eyes, not believing his words, “Of course you do.” “I have missed you,” Zayn replied, “And I realized that way too late. I did something stupid, but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss you.” You felt your heart pouding loudly in your chest, “So what are you saying, you regret not marrying me?” A few moments of silence passed, before Zayn responded, “Yeah. I really wish you were Mrs. Malik right now. I’m an idiot.” A huge smile formed on your face. “I won’t argue with that. So um, now what?” “Now? I take my fiancée out for lunch?” Zayn said the word fiancée hesitantly, as if he was asking you to marry him all over again. You swallowed hard, and nodded, “Sure, lunch sounds good.”

Harry: “Harry, what are you doing?” You asked, as Harry stood in your doorway, nerves written all over his face. “I’m here to apologize. I just don’t know how to say it right. I let nerves get to me, and now I regret calling off our wedding.” You shook your head in disbelief, “It’s a little late now, don’t you think?” “We could still do it. Losing you has showed me how much I do want to be with you.” Laughter fell from your lips, without you even thinking about it. “Why are you laughing?” “Because you ruined the best day of my life, and now you just expect me to forgive you and say okay?” “I was afraid we’d make a mistake.” “And now you’re not?” Harry ran his hands through his hair, “All I know is I want to be with you, and that’s it. I still worry, but we have to do this. So…?” “I’ll give you one more chance Harry. Don’t blow it.”

Louis: The pain in your heart never fully went away after Louis would not say I do. And on what would have been your one year anniversary, you still felt this longing for him, so you decided to call. “Hi [Y/N].” “Hey Louis, how are you?” “I know what today is,” he sighed, deciding against continuing with any small talk. You fought back tears as you replied, “Of course you do. I can’t believe we’d be married a year right now.” “It would have been a good year.” “Yeah, it would have. We could of had an amazing life together,” you replied, the tears finally falling down your face, “I wanted that so badly.” “So did I. I felt like everything was so rushed though and I wondered if we were doing it just to prove we could.” “I was doing it because I love you,” you cried into the phone. And then Louis replied, the best reply you could have hoped for, “I know that now, trust me. If I could go back to a year ago, I would tell myself to shut up and marry the perfect girl. I regret so badly that you’re not my wife right now.”

Liam: “We should elope,” you jokingly said to Liam, as the two of you sat eating large slices of your beautiful wedding cake. “[Y/N], what are you talking about? We just called off our wedding about two hours ago.” You took a large bite of cake, and washed it down with a sip of the champagne that was meant for the toast and speeches at your wedding, ”Yeah, I know. But I’m just thinking aloud. I do love you, I know that, and you love me, right?” Liam nodded. “Then let’s just do it. Maybe it’s just the wedding we’re saying we don’t want, and not each other? I know we say somethings missing, but it’s not the end of the world to just go for this. Sitting here with you, eating our cake, I feel like everythings perfect. I don’t want to lose you.” Liam swallowed what he had in his mouth before replying, “Let’s just go do it then. Why not?”
