Opal is my female Violet, opaline, dilute, blue budgie. I got her on January 16th, as a "replacement" for Chrissy. No, Chrissy didn't die. Chrissy had been attacked by Samantha (cat) and since he was without veterinarian care, I thought he would die. But thanks to cleaning out his wounds, he survived and now has a budgie friend. Opal is his mate, and I hope to get babies from them. Opal is not hand tamed, I still have to deal with Jordan before I can get to Opal.
Opals age and hatch date is unknown. She is over a year old judging by her cere (fleshy brown part above her beak) and she was hormonal when I bought her. Opal is housed with Jordan.
Opal passed away on December 23rd 2019 due to cancer.
