as i paced back and forth outside the room waiting for news on jade i was starting to get really worried when we arrived which was about four hours ago everyone was shocked at the state of her especialy the people in the pack that went to our school because she was either a bitch or a nobody I just hope she  wakes up soon I thought as I ran a hand through my tangeled hair

"she's awake" called Gina the pack doctor I quickly rushed in the room

"where am I?" she asked looking around

"my house " I said "Gina can you go outside please I need to  talk with jade" she nodded and left shutting the door behind her

"what happened jade I need to know I found you in a bloody bundle in your basement .who hurt you? " I growled the last part holding her hand tightly to keep my wolf at bay so he knows his mate is okay

"I fell" she said sternly

"bulshit" I spat "and you know it tell me who hurt you"

"stop pretending to care cause you don't" she sobbed trying to pull her hand out of mine

"I care for you more than anything in the whole world please tell me who hurt you" she stopped struggling as the tears ran silently down her face unil she started shacking as sobbs racked her body

"shh it's okay calm down" I cooed hugging her tightly as she held onto me for dear life

"it was-it w-was my father" she croaked out I stiffened instantly

"your dad" I ground out she nodded into my chest still crying as I rubbed soothing circle's on her back "don't worry I'll never let him hurt you again I promise but jade how long has it been  going on"

"since I was 5 " I tightened my hold on her bringing her closer to me until she was sitting on my lap I was so angry how could someone hurt someone so sweet

"im tired can I go to sleep " she whispered " of course " I mumbled into the Crook of her neck as I took in her sent she smelt like honey and raspberry I picked her up lightly and sat her on my bed I put the covers over her then kissed her temple before turning to leave

" where you going? " she asked sitting up

" to sleep on the couch "

" stay with me " she whispered

" okay " I said without hesitation as I slipped into the covers next to her and wrapping my arm around her waist as she cuddled into me I was never letting her go back to there ever I was keeping her here with me and keeping her safe I was going to protect her till the day I die I promised myself before I fell asleep next to my mate.
