On the morning of February 17 the guardians received a sign from Manny, The man in the moon It was a statue of a teenage boy no older than 15 wearing a blue hoodie and clutching  a slightly curved staff. The rest of the boy's face looked slightly hazy indicating to the guardians that Manny wasn't quite sure about what the rest of the boy looked like exactly. North stared curiously at the silvery orb in the night sky that was Manny.

"What is this supposed to mean, Manny?" He asked.

"Maybe we're supposed to go and find him?" Tooth stated questioningly.

"Mates, maybe if ye stopped yappin' and looked ye'd know!" Bunny Shouted clearly annoyed.

Sandy finally got Bunny's attention and mimed something to him. Bunny was the only one on the team that could translate what Sandy was saying. The rest of the guardians simply watched Bunny nod to what Sandy was miming unable to understand what Sandy was saying themselves.

"Uhh ..... Sandy says that what Manny really said was that ....uh ... that we need to locate this toy? No..No Boy ... we need to locate this boy and bring him here. Says he's in danger." Bunny Stuttered

A choir of gasps filtered through HQ.

"A-Are you s-sure," Tooth asked shakily,"We haven't been sent on a rescue mission since - since."

"He's quite sure mate" Bunny answered utterly bewildered at what he'd just heard.

There was no need to say the name of who they were speaking of ... Pitch Black ... He was the most feared elemental the guardians had ever faced.

"But, what would he want with a regular child?" North questioned.

"What if he's not just regular." Tooth stated whimsically.

"Don't be stupid mate, course he is. There hasn't been another one o' us in about 300 years. " Bunny said wisely.

"Then we're about due son't you think?" North joked.

"Yeah, Yeah whatever." Bunny said sarcastically.

"Well I guess I had better get all of the supplies ready for a locator charm hadn't I." Tooth said.

Tooth went over to one of the towering bookcases in HQ and retrieved a tack, map and a syringe. She walked over to the wispy form of the boy and collected some of the fog that made up his figure. Then she went back to the map, picked up the tack and emptied the contents of the syringe into a opening in the tack and muttered,"Locate" as she placed the tack back on the map. As the words were said the tack started spinning around the map frantically searching for its resting place. The tack suddenly stopped at a place labeled "Pitch's Lair." Once again a gasp could be heard ruffle through the room almost immediately.
