❀Courtney's POV❀

We made it back to my flat and I felt a mix of anger and sadness. I didn't know how I should feel, betrayed. Did the other guys know about this and they didn't tell anyone. Freya was pissed at Josh and they were already arguing a week before, so I could imagine.

I was in a great mood for the last two weeks, the boys announced what those mysterious dates meant. Upload, they were tweeting about the guests coming and I was one of them. I had my meet and greet for the two scheduled days, including panels. That event was in two and a half weeks, and to be honest I'm not going to rush it.  I plopped on my bed and I just needed time to myself. My phone started to ring and I looked at the caller ID and it was JJ. I rolled my eyes, declining the call. I couldn't be bothered with this shit. My phone rang again and I just knew it would be JJ again, minutes later it rang again. I needed space, I needed a bit of time.

For the past week, I got time to myself to think. Everyday, I still thought about Simon. It sucks too because the love I have for him just can't disappear immediately. I was ready to speak to him face to face, when he invited me to a cafe to talk. I put on a beige polo top and a jeans skirt along with some adidas, taking a deep breath I grabbed my keys from my room. Freya was at the Sidemen house already, her and Josh were talking as well. I exited the flat and went in the elevator to go to the ground floor. The elevator stopped at a floor and I didn't pay it any mind.

"Courtney?" I looked up and it was him. Max. I looked up and it was him. I stayed quiet in disbelief of what was in front of me. "Listen, I know you are not fond of me, but-"
"Max, its fine. I'm fine, thank you for trying to keep me safe at the club. I know you weren't into mischief," the elevator stopped at the floor," I gotta run," I didn't look back continuing to the car park. I sat in my car and leaned on my steering wheel, disbelief and shock controlled how I felt. Starting the car, I put in the directions to the cafe and it was roughly 13 minutes away.

I exited my car, and crossed the street to the cafe. I actually got stopped by a fan, I smiled and took a picture with her. After saying a shoutout to some other of her friends, I gave her a hug and waved goodbye. I walked into the really modern cafe, and I was greeted by a server there. I walked around and noticed there was a second floor, I walked upstairs and there he was. Three mugs, two filled with tea and Simon. I walked closer and he turned his head to me, right off the bat I stopped. Noticing his visible red eyes, he got up slowly and hugged me. I pulled away from the hug and proceeded to my seat across from him. I looked down at the tea and it was a matcha green tea latte. My favourite.

"Courtney let me just start off by saying, how terrible I feel that you saw that," he said leaning forward on the table.
"That doesn't mean anything Simon, I saw a girl in your house. And guess what with no shirt on. How is that supposed to make me feel hm? How?"
"But, you didn't even give me a chance to explain why she was there in the first place," he said his voice getting a little hitched.
"Go on then."
"The night when we went clubbing, I ran into my ex girlfriend. That was her. She was really drunk and she almost did some drugs with these guys. I saw her with a group of guys and they were proper feeling her up, she told them to keep on going and they did or tried. I had to get there to help her, she didn't know what she was getting herself into-"
"That still doesn't explain why she was at your house half naked?"
"I'm getting their love. I couldn't leave her alone there, when I didn't know what was going to happen to her. Or if I dropped her home, what she would do. So I made a decision to take her back home. While we walked to the taxi she tried to grab my phone to take videos, and actually broke my phone by dropping it on the concrete. I helped her up the steps to the guest room. Instead she went in the bathroom throwing up, when I went to flush it for her it looked like those guys snaked her drink. When she cleaned herself up she complained she was really hot, she unclothed herself leaving her in only her underwear. I didn't look when she started to declothe herself. She slipped under the covers and fell asleep right there, knocked out," my eyes became full and I let them go. Tears going down my upper cheek, but was stopped by Simon's finger wiping them. "Don't cry babe," he whispered.
"So that morning, when I heard you were coming over. I told the boys not to say anything, solely so that I can tell you. Like how does it sound if JJ says 'oh Simon's ex is upstairs half naked.' So hence why JJ was probably acting weird," I was more ashamed that I put my drunk self in front of a girl that almost got sexually abused.

"Simon," I whispered trying my best to talk.
"I obviously got a new phone but Courtney the last few days not being able to talk to you have broken me. I couldn't stand myself to know that - that I was the cause of your un happiness. All I wanna do is make you happy."

Tears still in my eyes, I managed to let out something, "but Simon, you know the guys have my number. Why wouldn't you even try? Like I'm really trying not to veer away from the subject, but what if I ended up like that girl. If my own ex boyfriend didn't stop me, I would've been just like her-"
"Court don't say that," he looked at me and a tear dropped to the floor. I extended my arm wiping them, and lifted his head.
"Stop Simon, maybe I was wrong storming out abruptly but I'm not wrong at the fact that you have mates in your house with working phones," I said caressing his chin.
"I know and I'm really sorry Courtney. Genuinely, I lost myself for the last couple of days." I stayed quiet as he played with my hand intertwining mine with his.
"Simon, I forgive you but I cannot tolerate the bullshit. It's not healthy at all, but that is why we can agree to move past this. Are we on the same page here?"
"Yes," he said kissing my hand.
"But it's gonna take time okay Simon," I said as he nodded.
"Do you think you can take me home? I walked here," he asked smiling.
"Yeah of course," we finished our tea and we were walking to my car, our one index fingers were intertwined. I don't know by one finger but oh well. We waited to cross and he looked down at me.

"So who is your ex?"
