When All Hell Breaks Loose. (BOTDF+BVB Zombie Apocalypse)

Late Night Conversations.

It's been about a week since CC turned, and nothings been right ever since. No one talked to each other. Everyone avoided eye contact. I haven't been sleeping right. Ever since CC passed, I don't think anyone's been sleeping right. This was one of the reasons why I wasn't sleeping. I don't know if I should tell you the other reason.... But I guess I have to so you can completely understand the story.

The night we lost CC has been haunting me for about a week now. Everytime I closed my eyes, I saw him standing there. Wanting to devour all of his friends. It got a lot worse when I fell asleep. The zombie biting him and everything. I always woke-up to a sharp pain somewhere on my arm. My eyes shot open and I had my arm in my mouth. I was munching on myself! What the fuckity-fuck?! Everything I tried, failed. This time I didn't feel like going back to sleep. I just got up, grabbed my pistol, and walked out to the watch area. I was a few steps away when Jinxx popped up with his guitar up over his head. As he jumped up, I pointed my pistol at him.

"I think we all know who'll win this one."

He nodded and slowly sat back down. I sat next to him and looked up at the stars. We sat there in complete and awkward silence.

"So... Why are you here? You should be sleeping." Jinxx said, completely destroying the silence.

"I have to many thoughts racing through my head. I can't sleep." I replied still looking up at the sky.

He nodded and went back to looking around. I finally closed my eyes and turned my attention to him. He was staring off into space. The light reflecting off the moon easily illuminated his face. I noticed that his eyes were slowly filling with tears and he quickly placed his hand over his mouth to silence his breathing. His tears began to fall. I nudged his arm.

"Hey.... What's wrong?"

He quickly wiped his eyes before turning to me.

"I'm sorry you had to see that... I just...." He sighed and looked down again.

"Come on. You can talk to me. You never know. We could have a few simularities."

He smiled a little and took in a deep breath.

"Sammi.... She turned into one of them, and I.... I.... Killed her.... God, I miss her so much."

I put a hand on his shoulder. "I had to kill my foster family. A mother and father who actually cared about my exsistance. And a 5 year old sister."

He quickly wrapped his arms around my neck and hugged me.

"I'm so sorry to hear that Nik. Really, I am."

"I'm sorry for your lose too. But you'll never be alone. All of us are going to survive this. I'll make sure of it."

He pulled back and yawned.

"Your watch is up. Go back to sleep and sent some one my way."

He nodded and left. Not long after that, someone came by and sat down next to me. I looked up a little and saw Jake. He was staring at me and I think he was blushing.

"Uhh.... Can you not stare at me, please.... It makes me feel a little uncomfortable."

He jumped and looked down. "S-sorry, Nikki... I didn't know it was your turn to take watch."

I raised an eyebrow. He knows to call me Nik or Nicole. Eh, at least he still knows that it's me.

"That's ok Jake.... I just need someone to talk to. So I can stay awake." I chuckled a little.

He smiled and scooted a little closer to me...

"Look, Nikki..... I know we've only known each other for a few months and all but I really like you. Will you, Nikki Sanders, be my girlfriend? And when this hell on earth ends we could probably start our lives together.."

He looked at me, waiting for a responce. I opened my mouth a little. "I-i'm not Nikki, Jake.... It's me Nicole..... But if you like Nikki, she told me that she liked you too."

He smiled wildly and sat back against the tree. Me personally, I wouldn't really date anyone. Especially now. I had a ton of reasons why too. But at least you have someone to love and to hold. Till death do you part. We continued to talk and I decided to come back to my mat and try to sleep again.
