No More Zombies

**Nik P.O.V**

I stood back and admired our masterpiece. The shattered glass glistened in the dimmly lit room. The broken figuriens that scattered across the floor looked like multi-colored diamonds. All of it looked like a piece of amazing artwork that will never be admired by any other human eyes.

I took one last look before turning... And tripping over Mercys' foot. I fell onto the ground and hit the wall, hard. Something from the shelf above fell right into my head and bounced on the floor. I groaned and Ash and Leo rushed over and helped me up. I rubbed my head and looked at the thing that fell. Everyone gathered around and stared at the plastic radio, that had turned on.

"Survivors.... Zone.... Free...."

All of us looked at eachother and Andy knelt down and turned the knob a bit.

"To all the survivors who are still out there. There is a zombie free zone in Orlando, Florida... It is open and free for all survivors. We urge each and everyone of you to come!"

The line repeated a few more times before going back to static again. All of us stared at the radio wide-eyed and then at each other.

"We're saved!" Leo exclaimed.

All of us smiled. "Well, we had better get on our way! We're in Nevada right now!" I exclaimed.

Everyone nodded and ran out the door. I have no idea how long we've ran, but with all of this adrinaline coursing through my veins, I could really care less. That is until everyone started slowing down and leaning against some buildings. I took in a few deep breaths and looked around. All of us looked so excited to get to the zombie free zone. I smiled and leaned against a building, next to Ash, who put his arm around me. I smiled and looked down.

"Nikki! Come here! I want to hugs my sister."

I waited for a second and looked back up.

"Nikki? Nikki!!"

I ran around calling her name but I could never find her.

"Hey! Jake is missing too!" Mercy exclaimed.

I sighed.

"They're probably making out behind a building or something."

Everyone groaned and nodded in agreement and started walking back, looking for them. An hour later, we heard groaning and soft whimpers coming out from behind one of the buildings. I held up my hand, causing everyone to stop moving. I pulled out my pistol and poked my head around the corner.

"Stay here." I said slowly walking down the alley. The groaning got louder and louder with every step. I stopped beside a dumpster and poked my head around the side of it and gagged. The zombie looked up, fresh flesh and blood were dripping from it's teeth. It growled and lunged at me, but I was faster. I blew it's head off before it could even reach me. I let out a huff of relief and turned to the zombies latest victims. My eyes filled with tears when I saw the bodies. Both of them still barely alive, bleeding out, hand in hand. I fell to my knees and put my hand over theirs.

"I'm so sorry... I didn't keep my promise... All of us were suppose to make it to safety together." I looked up at them, tears falling. Both of them smiled weakly.

"It's ok... Not all of us were going to make it." Nikki said.

"At least I get to die next to my true love." Jake said.

Nikki nodded and looked at me.

"If I turn... Kill me... It's my final request."

Jake looked at me too and asked me to have Andy kill him if he turned. I was crying now, but I agreed to do so. I stood up and watched Nikki and Jakes eyes go red and they started growling. I took in a deep breath and brought my pistol up. As I pulled the trigger, another gun went off, hitting Jake in the head. I turned and saw everyone behind me. All of them were shaking or looking at the ground. Everyone was comforting each other. Dahvie had his arm around Mercy, Shelly was crying into Andys' chest, Jayy was comforting Candy, and Jinxx had a death grip on Leos' shoulder. I wiped my eyes and looked at the bodies of my two friends before running into Ashs', sobbing. He rubbed my back and rested his head on mine. The sky darkened, thunder could be heard in the distance, and it brought on a huge down pour. I didn't mind the rain, it fit in well with the mood of the day...
