genus: | dio has a classic handsomeness about him; tall with a well-rounded body, not too skinny or too stocky, and an ethereal face. his facial features are perfectly symmetrical (yes, he's checked). he has thick black hair that's often quite mused. baby blue eyes match the pale of his flawless skin. no scars or scratches mark his body in any way. his sense of style is very casual chic, often in classy dark colors and snug fitting clothing. he walks with a sense of entitlement and speaks with conviction. everything about dio's presence speaks power. he has a single tattoo of a traditional catholic cross along his upper spine, a symbolic "fuck you" to human religion.

scaena: | dio, along with hannah, is the only maggot that was raised by the house of flies' infamous mr. taves. dio is one of few humans ever to be born into the world of demons. well, it could be argued that he wasn't born at all. or that he was born already dead. his birth parents never had a proper relationship. they first started out of lust, then married for money and social status. his father never found reason to stay faithful to a woman he never loved, and cheated on-and-off for five years. when they finally were able to conceive, the cheating drove his mother mad. while she was seven months pregnant with dio, she stalked down her husband and his mistress while they were out at dinner. driven mad over the years, she had stabbed herself in the stomach with the restaurant knife. dead by the time the medics arrived, dio should have been as well. though his patron demon beelzebub had taken dio's dead fetus and cursed him with eternal life. he was then sent as a "gift" to live with mr. taves. when he reached thirteen years old, dio sought out his father and killed him; that was his first true kill as a vampire. the first taste of blood made dio crave disaster. shortly after, hannah came to the house of flies. dio saw this as yet another reward for his murder, and is forever drawn to darkness no matter how good he may try to be. he is courageous yet reckless, bold yet manipulating, cool yet ill-minded.

demonia: | dio fights for nothing other than for darkness to reign supreme. his powers are classically dracularic. although he is technically dead and no blood runs through his veins, he craves blood as food and sleep as energy. blessed with strength and speed, he's alternatively cursed with infinite life and the inability to be satisfied. he has supernatural hearing and eyesight. dio has certain features he can turn on and off as well, such as being able to be seen in mirrors and cameras and being able to manipulate humans through his voice.
dilectio: | dio has never felt true love and, honestly, is completely unable to. as he is no human except for partially physically, dio does not have the same mental and emotional capacity as a human. his focuses are narrower, his mind broader. he has lusted like no creature before, but never love.
praeferentiae: | dio does not have a type. his passion for lust outweighs anything else, so his standards are quite generic. he'll accept what is right in front of him unless he feels otherwise compelled to prey on someone else. this was the case with amalee and ani. dio's reputation as a bad boy made ani the perfectly cliche good girl target for him. however as soon as he witnessed amalee's demonic transformation first-hand, he ditched ani the good soldier and pursued amalee the white witch. not only did it tear ani's emotional stability to shreds, but it made amalee and even isaac, ani's future lover, hate dio even further.
lineamenta: | dio hates his real name. marcus was his father's name, yet beelzebub demanded that dio stay "marcus junior" in order to fuel his hatred and remember where he comes from. dio comes from his mother's last name, annadio.

patron demon of goetia: | bael / beelzebub. this demon is very close to lucifer and they both go back to the "beginning of time." bael is second in command to lucifer since he is lucifer's half-brother. Along with his brother astaroth [night world], he wound up in the grimoires as one of the crowned princes of the under world and was labeled as "evil," as were all the other pagan gods. he is known as the prince of air and physical transformations, ruling over the east.
