| ani is the perfect girl next door. short and fairly curvy, her image mimics her good natured soul. wide brown eyes take up a large part of her round face while circular, plump lips are framed by her thick cheeks. she wears her naturally coiled hair usually tied up in a bun or with a scarf. her style is simple yet chic, soft fabrics and bold colors draped over cool-toned deep skin. her fashion is modest but far from prude.

| ani's life would have been perfect (and normal) had she never befriended amalee. a large inner part of her hates this past mistake, but but her good nature argues otherwise. her birth father died when her mother was only a few months pregnant, though as her stepfather dennis stepped in she never yearned for her biological dad. she had a fair amount of siblings and her family was not rich, but they happily got by. even as amalee went haywire with her new powers that ani was sure to never understand, she'd be able to move on past losing her best friend in high school. she could have lived. though the dark forces that overtook amalee and isaac soon strained upon her also; ani's family was killed in a car "accident" during a fight the pertaining other maggots. her entire family was wiped out. it seemed convenient that her life was further ruined by amalee, but it wasn't an entirely sad coincidence. demons never sleep, and neither did her demon vassago. anika was claimed by the prince vassago for one reason: to discern the future and follow a path that would finally serve herself and give her redemption from being a pawn in bael's game again amalee. if not for that, ani would have been too completely pure of heart to have a demon even consider her.

| ani has the most control of any cursed human, which is most likely due to her pure heart. the demon prince vassago is a fallen angel with an arguably good nature. her gifts from the prince include fortune telling, scrying, divination, and translocating. she has keen psychic senses, trusting intuition, and a scholarly intellect.

dilectio:
| ani has a heart full of love but very few people to give it too. what love she gave to her family had nowhere to go once they died, and was soon replaced with anger. the cruel emotions subsided upon meeting isaac. while he loved her for being utterly pure, she loved him for completing what she did not have. his darkness matched her light, his eagerness for death matched her will to live. they formed a bond that transcended others.
