Chapter 7 - Morning

Kaneki's POV

I slowly awake to warm breath on my neck and arms wrapped around my waist. Wait, what the hell?

I open my eyes and look back. Oh, it's just Tsukiyama. Right! I met my suitor yesterday and we had to sleep in the same bed. This is why I hate sleeping for seven or eight hours. You forget things!

I lay still, letting Tsukiyama continue to sleep. He looks so peaceful, but not as beautiful. His hair is messed up. I find a small bit of it cute.

I check the time. It's only seven. I suppose we can sleep longer. I don't have to go to school anymore and I don't have anywhere I important to be. That means I can get more sleep!

Tsukiyama's POV

I awake to see a boy laying in bed beside me; it's Kaneki. I'm not really used to this whole suitor thing yet. We were forced to be together. I'm glad I was paired with him and not a creep. I like innocent people. They're usually very loving and/or patient.

I watch Kaneki sleep. Not in a creepy way like a stalker would, but a caring, protective way. He's mine and no one else's. That's why I like the system the government has. They destine us for someone and we can't get out of it. The partners know that no cheating will go on because that is punishable by death. And no one wants to die.

I notice that Kaneki looks innocent while sleeping. He looks innocent on everyday life, but especially when he's asleep. I find it cute. Everything about him is perfect! His hair, eyes, smile, skin, personality..... I bet something else about him is perfect, but I won't mention it yet.

I see Kaneki slowly begin to arouse. I look away so he doesn't think I was staring at him the whole time, which I was. I know, I said I wasn't watching over him like a stalker, but it not so accidentally turned into that. You try having Ken Kaneki as a boyfriend for eighteen hours and see if you don't stare at him every once in a while!

He opens his eyes to reveal his perfectly beautiful grey eyes. "Good morning," he says to me quietly. "Good morning~" I purr in reply. "Have a good night?" He nods tiredly, "It felt a lot better to have someone with me during the night." Aww, he liked me being here! Most people are disgusted by my company. I wonder why.

"Did you sleep good?"

I snap out of my thoughts, "Yes. Yes, I did." I did sleep a lot better. I didn't think of my broken family life as much. Kaneki made it all better. That's why he's perfect for me. He takes away all of my pain. So far.

Will that change when we get closer and more confident about our relationship?

I don't know Tsuki, will it? I wrote this at 4 in the morning.... Anyways, new schedule: New updates on any Shuuneki book on my account almost every Friday.
