I almost had him.
Shit.
Fuck.
I look around the table to see who's on their phone.
Everyone. Again.
"Hey Teal," Dylan says. "You didn't text me yet," he chuckles. Dick.
"Tealia!" Nolan calls from the opposite side of the table. "How are you doing?" he asks me.
"I'm doing better, thanks," I reply.
"Good, I'm glad. I've got a free period before we have English literature," Nolan hints with a sly smile.
"Yeah me too, wanna sing me a song?" I ask him, beaming.
"Sure, let's go to-" Nolan gets cut off by the bell. "To music room 4b, I've reserved it, as always," he says after the bell had stopped ringing.
"Yeah, let's go," I say and we go.
I've missed him, hanging out with him, hearing him sing and play guitar. Every time we're good, something happens. If it isn't some dumb argument, it's one of his little girlfriends or some guy trying to get me to like him. While all along he was the reason I didn't like any guy back. Little does he know.
