"Even if you hurt me when you didn't mean to, I still wanted to facilitate all your problems"

I jumped out Scott's bike as he stopped in front of Eichen House, breathing in the frosty crisp air of the night. I grimaced at the sight of the disturbing building until my eyes caught the figure of Stiles standing near the building with his father.

"Why didn't you tell us? Why didn't you tell me?" I called out desperately, breathing out a white puff of cloud.  I saw Stiles' body stiffen before slowly turning around with a contorted frown placed upon his face like he did not want Scott and I to find out.

"Because we wanted to avoid something like this," Sheriff mumbled, confirming my previous thoughts.

"It's only 72 hours," Stiles sighed while brushing his hair back, holding a duffle bag around his shoulder.

"This is the same place where Barrow came from," Scott said. "The guy who had a tumor inside him filled with flies. You don't know everything yet."

"I know enough," Sheriff intervened. "Nogitsunes, kitsunes, oni, or whatever they're called."

"Wow, that was actually all surprisingly correct," Stiles nodded.

"Scott, I saw an MRI that looked exactly like my wife's. Kayla, you saw it with me," Sheriff said. "And it terrifies me. I'm headed down to L.A. tomorrow to talk to a specialist."

"Then why are you putting him in here?" I asked.

"He's not," Stiles said, looking at me. "It was my decision," He said, taking a step closer to me. Out of instinct, I took a step back. Stiles shook his head, eyes glistening. "And I can't hurt you in here."

"Stiles I don't think you're going to hurt me, I'm not afraid," I told him, taking a step forward again, ignoring the fear boiling in the pit of my stomach.

"But I'm afraid Kay. You don't understand," Stiles shook his head, while taking a step back, mimicking my previous steps. "I remember everything he does to you Kay, I see it and I can't do anything about it, just watch. And you want to know the worst part is? He taunts me about it, telling me if I don't do certain things, he will come after you," He whispered so only I could hear.

"But Stiles-"

"Stay away from me okay!" He yelled at me, nostrils flaring while looking at me with fire in his eyes. I bit my lip and took a step back, ready to leave.

"If you think I'm going to let that 'thing' possess you, to- to stay away from you then you obviously don't f*cking know me," I told him with gritted teeth while walking away.

"Guys look," I heard Scott say out loud as I walked towards his bike. "Deaton's got some ideas. And Kay, your dad's calling people!" Scott called out, trying to get me to walk back.  "We're gonna find something. And if we can't-" Scott trailed off.

"If you can't," Stiles approached Scott slowly. "If you can't, then you have to do something for me, okay? Make sure I never get out- make, make sure I never get out and hurt her Scott," Stiles sobbed. "I don't want to hurt her anymore."

I looked at him while leaning on Scott's bike, shaking my head as I bit my lower lip, too weak to deal with anything. Scott nodded at Stiles before Scott stood still, watching his best friend slowly walk inside with his Dad. Before Stiles could manage to grasp the knob of the door with his hands, I ran.

"Stiles wait!" I yelled, sprinting to his direction. He dropped his bags as a came close to him, embracing me in a hug as he picked me up. "Please promise me one thing. Promise me you'll stay safe and come back exactly 72 hours, no more than that."
