I am appalled by my own actions. I’m sorry guys for dragging the update of this story but now that many has started appreciating this series, (yes, it feels quite joy using that word to describe my two-volume series), I’m actually growing more conscious as how this story was going, especially plot-wise. I’m being extra careful not to fall astray from the original plot now that it’s been bigger than ever—and truthfully speaking, it’s going to be bigger than ever.
I AM NOT HOLDING THIS STORY OFF. This has so much in line and it’s really, actually good—as long as my poor writing don’t mess it all up, hence I’m being extra, extra careful. Plus, this story actually makes you guys happy so, that’s all the love I could give to you.
And since Wattpad has shown more love to me than before, I got this message from them that I might have missed seeing their email a few weeks ago. Apparently, they’d sent me this link to a dead account so I wasn’t aware of it. Now I’m sharing it to you guys. EXTERNAL LINK PLEASE! IT WOULDN’T TAKE A MINUTE. But please do share the little victory dance with me.
Last but definitely not the least! This chapter is particularly dedicated to MicahArtis! It’s her birthday on the 16th, it’s actually already 17th here in Manila, but maybe wherever she is it’s still her birthday! It should still be the 16th somewhere… anyway, happy birthday! I hope you enjoy this little I could do.
Banner on the side is by WhyDoYouWannaKnw! Shoutout to you! I like how Wicked Louise looks there. That’s so fitting for the future episodes of this story!
God I have so much to say. But that was the last of it! Hope you enjoy this update!
Carry on, little geek monsters.

Chapter Seventeen, part two – Just an Idiot in a Tin Can, Part Two
Immediately, I stepped a length from Darren—stupid move. Darren wasn’t an idiot; he surely would’ve noticed something was up. I was gonna tell him, but not now. I wanted to be the one to tell him, not him figuring it out. Although that might make things a hell lot easier, that would only make the guilt that was currently munching me piece by piece, bit by bit, devour me whole.
Hang on a sec… if Eva was dragging Damon into the kitchen, to be alone…
After a short mental hierarchy diagram of possible outcomes, the gears in my head finally clicked into their rightful places. Damon was probably planning on telling Eva now! Oh shit. I need to get out of here… no, I need to get Darren out of here and tell him too!
“Uh hey,” I turned to Darren. “Could you go grab some lemons, please?”
Darren eyed my suspiciously. “Of course.”
I lifted the corners of my lips, hoping to imitate a semblance of a smile. “Thank you.”
I watched him as he organized my request, sternly but elegantly, Damon from afar studying him too.
When Darren was done with the lemons, I quickly grabbed him out of the kitchen and out to the pergola where no one was. With my mission, I needed to be alone with him. Plus, the gang didn’t exactly know that we were together. I wouldn’t want to complicate things any further.
“Did you like my present?” he asked, soon as we had settled into the cushions in the pergola dining.
I pursed my lips. “Yes, but it’s too fancy. It’s almost hard to accept it.”
“How many times have I pointed out that you only deserve the best?”
“You can’t honestly feed me that fantasy. I can’t depend on that.” I replied, my tone flat.
“I will and you can.” Darren stared into my eyes dreamily, but flatly—a look I’ve only seen in Damon’s eyes. “Only you won’t let me.”
As a frown settles into my confused face, I heard the booming voice of Andi, followed by the rest of the band.
“Here you are Louise! We’ve been looking all over for you.” she said as she walked towards our spot at the pergola. “We prepared a special surprise for you.”
Ten minutes later we were already at the island bar and I was blowing flame off the shots that I have to shoot after the flame had gone, everyone cheering around me. Worst birthday cake ever. It was fun but the alcohol was horrible, leaving an unbearable line of fire down my throat. Damon and Eva wanted to close off the bar but that wouldn’t be necessary since there were just a handful of people around. Also, I insisted. It was just a birthday.
