Ch 25 Coping and Fight for Family

The next couple of days went by after the defeat of the pharaoh and everything was almost back to normal. The one thing that wasn't back to normal was Atticus waking from his state that he was in. Alexis was asleep and was dreaming about things that she wanted. The dream started as she was waking up in her bed at home. But someone else was also in the bed with her. She moved to see that it was Jaden. She was stunned that Jaden was in her bed and not only that but with his shirt off as well.

She looked at his face and smiled at this and wanted this dream to continue and it did. Jaden's eyes awoke and he looked at Alexis. He said "what is it Alexis, what is on your mind?" Alexis said "why are you hear in my dream and in my bed?" Jaden said "I don't know it is your dream and I am just a figment of your imagination." Alexis said "why, why you I am loosing my mind thinking about you Jaden. The more I think about you the more I fall in love with you. I know that you are a great person but I want to be there when you defeat all the evil that comes at you."

Jaden smiled and Alexis heart melted. Alexis heart was racing and she couldn't hold herself back anymore. Alexis said "I know that it is just a dream but I love you Jaden and I will always love you. My heart, body, and mind belong to you." Then Alexis did something that she wanted to do to Jaden since she fell in love with him. She kissed him and he was kissing her back and it was the best dream that she could have ever wished for.

Then after their lips departed the scene changed. Alexis was now in the dark world but she didn't know that it was called that. She then investigated the area and saw Jaden dueling. He was dueling Brron, Mad King of Dark World but Alexis didn't care for she was watching Jaden and then she saw Syrus, Atticus, Chazz, and someone she didn't recognize. Then she watched in horror as Chazz's body turned into stardust. Then it happened to the others as well. Jaden then got down on his knees and was in anguish. Then she saw another version of her and she listened in on what she said.

The fake Alexis said "Jaden what have you done. You send all our friend to the stars and for what, nothing you sacrificed them so you could get information and now they are gone. I never loved you, you never cared about me or thinking ahead so I hope you are happy being alone forever." Then the fake Alexis turned into stardust. The real Alexis looked at Jaden then walked up to him and said "Jaden none of that is true I love you and would never leave your side."

But Jaden didn't listen and his eyes turned from the brown she loved to golden and then something happened that horrified Alexis. Jaden was surrounded by dark aura then the darkness engulfed Jaden. Then she saw Jaden in armor that looked medieval looking. But then Jaden reached out to Alexis but he went for something that she didn't expect. He grabbed her throat and lifted her from the ground and she saw no love in his eyes. She tried to say "Jaden, it is me Alexis. Stop this, this isn't you, your not the one I fell in love with. Why Jaden, why did this have to happen."

Alexis then awoke from her dream and was looking around to see if this was still a dream or not. Alexis knew that this real because she was back in the nurses office and that was when see fell asleep. Meanwhile Jaden was at the cliffs thinking and remembered what had happened in the dark world. Jaden knew that it wasn't his fault but he let it happen so he was still blaming himself for that. Yubel appeared and said "Jaden don't linger about the past. What is done is done but you can change that and we could save more lives then harm them ok."

Jaden smiled and then realized that Titan was coming back. Back with Alexis she was looking at Atticus and wished for him to awake. Then a voice came from a dark portal and said "you want your brother back. If you want to have him to recover them come with me and I will show you how to return him to normal. Alexis went into the portal as Atticus awoke and tried to stop her but it was to late. He then got out of his bed but failed to stand up and was on the ground.

Jaden and gang went to the nurses office and saw that Atticus was on the floor but Zane rusted to help his friend. Zane then asked "where is Alexis?" Atticus said "Titan he was the one that took Alexis." Jaden took Atticus and they went to the abandoned dorm to find Alexis. Alexis came from out of the portal and was in the abandoned dorm. She then saw Titan and he meant business. He offered her a deal that if she won then he would restore Atticus' memories but if she lost then she would lose her spirit key and be put in the shadow realm forever.

Alexis and Titan started their duel disks just as the gang appeared. Titan draws "Picador Fiend" and subsequently Normal Summons it (1600/1200) in Attack Position. He then Sets a card. Alexis draws "Cyber Tutu" and subsequently Normal Summons it (1000/800) in Attack Position. Titan is prepared to activate his set card when "Cyber Tutu" attacks directly, but Alexis activates "Allegro Toile" to destroy Titan's Set "Des Counterblow". "Cyber Tutu" then attacks directly as Titan only controls monsters that have higher ATK than "Cyber Tutu" (Titan 4000 → 3000). Alexis Sets a card.

Titan draws "Ritual of the Matador". "Picador Fiend" then attacks "Cyber Tutu", but Alexis activates her face-down "Doble Passe" to change the attack to a direct attack (Alexis 4000 → 2400) and allow "Cyber Tutu" to attack directly. "Cyber Tutu" then attacks directly (Titan 3000 → 2000).

Titan then activates "Ritual of the Matador" to Tribute "Summoned Skull" from his hand and Ritual Summon "Matador Fiend" (0/0) in Attack Position. He then activates "Dark Arena". Now both players can select the attack targets of their opponent's monsters and every face-up monster must attack if possible.

Alexis draws "Polymerization" and subsequently activates it to fuse "Etoile Cyber" with "Blade Skater" in order to Fusion Summon "Cyber Blader" (2100/800) in Attack Position. Since Titan has two monsters on his side of the field, the ATK of "Cyber Blader" is doubled ("Cyber Blader": 2100 → 4200/800).

"Cyber Blader" attacks. Titan uses the effect of "Dark Arena" to make "Cyber Blader" attack "Matador Fiend". Due to the first two effects of "Matador Fiend", it is not destroyed and Titan takes no Battle Damage from the attack. At the end of the Damage Step, the last effect of "Matador Fiend" activates, destroying "Cyber Blader".

The effect of "Dark Arena" then forces "Cyber Tutu" to attack. Titan uses the effect of "Dark Arena" to make "Cyber Tutu" attack "Picador Fiend". "Picador Fiend" destroys "Cyber Tutu" (Alexis 2400 → 1800). Alexis Normal Summons "Cyber Gymnast" (1000/1800) in Defense Position. Once per turn, Alexis can use this card's effect to discard one card and destroy one face-up Attack Position monster Titan Controls.

Titan draws "Banderillero Fiend". Since Titan controls "Dark Arena", "Picador Fiend" attacks directly (Alexis 1800 → 200) via its own effect. Alexis plans to use the effect of "Cyber Gymnast" on her next turn to destroy "Matador Fiend". Titan then Normal Summons "Banderillero Fiend" (900/1600) in Attack Position. Since "Banderillero Fiend" was Normal Summoned, its effect activates, allowing Titan to destroy "Cyber Gymnast", however "Banderillero Fiend" will not be allowed to attack this turn.

Alexis draws "Pot of Greed" and subsequently activates it to draw two cards ("The Warrior Returning Alive" and "Fusion Recovery"). She then activates "The Warrior Returning Alive" to add "Blade Skater" from her Graveyard to her hand. Alexis then activates "Fusion Recovery" to add "Etoile Cyber" and "Polymerization" from her Graveyard to her hand.

Alexis then activates "Polymerization" to fuse "Etoile Cyber" with "Blade Skater" in order to Fusion Summon "Cyber Blader" (2100/800) in Attack Position. Since Titan has three monsters on his side of the field, the effect of "Cyber Blader" negates the effects of every card Titan controls. "Cyber Blader" then attacks and destroys "Matador Fiend" (Titan 2000 → 0).

Titan went back into the shadows never to be seen again. When the gang got out of the dorm Atticus hugged Alexis and told her everything will be alright. Then they went back to the nurses office and was a good day for Atticus was back to normal and they had a little time to rest till the next shadow rider comes.
