Chapter 13; Finale

It's crazy how underestimated a second birthday can be. In terms of Harry and I, it goes by as if you won the lottery twice. That's how Greyson should feel right about now judging by the massive party we've thrown him at my Rhode Island estate. We don't take him there much, I've given it to my parents and they live there often, but today was special and on his birthday, my little boy just had to be spoiled a little. The whole place is just absolutely stocked with guests, all spread out into different areas. Greyson had his little daycare friends over, I think they're all set up in the living room. It's surprising that they haven't even been on the large moon bounce in the back yard. Not to mention the pool and the group sized jacuzzi Harry, Ed, Emily, Selena, Ellie, and myself were enjoying currently.

They had all made sure to make time in their schedules to come to Greysons' birthday and I appreciate that. I had finally willed Harry into the jacuzzi after his constant need to make sure everything was perfect. I loved him for that, he was so perseverant though. He just wanted to make sure Greyson was having the best time possible and I understood that. Finally, I coaxed him- well, pulled him- into the jacuzzi with the rest of our friends to socialize like normal people, as I had said.

So here we were, gathered talking in the jacuzzi. Harry had finally loosened up to join in our conversation and begin laughing along with us. I sit between Harry and Ellie, a light moisture gathering on my forehead, unsure if I'm sweating or it's the water spraying up in my face.

"So when do you think it'll be out?" I ask generally to Ed and Emily who sit side by side. They've been together for awhile now, years even. It's crazy to believe Ed is engaged now. Ed. Engaged! It's absolutely insane to think about because I have a kid and we're only a few weeks from our wedding and Ed is engaged. Life just flies, I swear.

"I'm thinking December. What about yours? Haven't you been recording?" He asks, combing a hand through his soaked hair. He was actually thrown into the pool a little earlier by Zayn, I think. We were talking albums and that's something I've been meaning to get back on course on as soon as possible. Since Greyson was getting old enough to attend small daycare centers and school stuff, I was able to record my countless songs I've written down over the past years. It was killing me to not put out new music, I felt like my fans had gradually faded away and I wanted them back desperately. Without new music, I was just a tabloid issue.

I release a sigh, "Tryin' to. Harrys' matched my number of albums now." I smack his arm, snapping him back into the converation.

"W-hat? Oh, yeah, weird, right?" He laughs, brushing up against my neck. I blush at his gesture in front of everyone. Harry wasn't a huge advocate of PDA but right now it seems like he could care less. I see Selena share a look with the surrounding people in the tub and standing at once, half smirking down at us.

"Where ar-" I start.

"Just going to get some food," Ellie shrugs nonchalantly but I see the force she's using to hold back the smile hinting at her lips.

"I'll go too then-" I suggest, starting to rise but Selena presses a hand on my shoulder quickly. I see what they're trying to do and that's alone time.

"I'll get both of you some,"

I roll my eyes and watch as they file out, leaving the tub to just us. I turn back to Harry to find him just-a smilin'.

"What are you smiling about?" I laugh. It's hardly possible to not laugh when he's smiling at you, it just feels right to. He shrugs cutely, pushing both hands into my waist. I jump at the squeeze, causing him to chuckle.

"I'm just thinking..." He trails off in a pause, "How crazy is it that all this is ours?"

I raise an eyebrow so he continues, "The houses, fame, Greyson, our life together, our wedding, you."

"I don't know, Har, but I'm glad it is. I'm thankful that we have our fame because it'd be a hell of a lot harder meeting a kid from a Cheshire bakery than a worldwide megastar. Our fame gave us all of this. It gave me you and it gave me Greyson."

He smiles, one so wide that it looks like it could stretch from ear to ear. Pulling me back so I float around enough so I can straddle my legs around his torso.

"How am I so lucky to have you?" He whispers against my neck, pecking a kiss lightly. I gently pull his chin from my neck to look up at me, grazing into a deep kiss.

I pull apart long enough to say, "I could ask the same thing," before our reconnect, moving harder against eachothers than before. Something rekindling comes from that and from that is lust, love, fulfillment, passion, just every extreme feeling you could possibly feel. Mostly because serious, sincere love is not simply one emotion, but hundreds. You can't truly define your love for someone but you can try. And if I had to describe love in just one word, one fiery, intense emotion; well, I'd just say Harry. I'd say that because he's my definition, he's my love note on a summer day, he's my Romeo and I'm his overly cheesy Juliet. That's just us and that's just our love, and I have nothing wrong with that. Sometimes love does weird things and that same love can send you running into the arms of your lover, or it could send you sprinting to your Sanctuary.

The End.

Wow, I feel like I'm ending fanfics left and right now. Anyway, thanks for the people who waited for me to continue this and that continued reading. It truly means a lot even through my periods where I grew tired of it. Thank you for reading and supporting me. I know it was a short-story like Rose Petals was as well. I've got a new one I'm working on called Sick Isolation coming out soon. Thank y'all again!

Love,
